Project 2 Different lifestyles
I. Teaching aims and learning objectives
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
make a questionnaire;
present the result of the questionnaire;
write an article about their friends’ lifestyles.

Step 1 Lead-in
Analyze a questionnaire.
T: Here is a questionnaire. Read it carefully. The topic is “My dream home”. “Do you have a garden?” is a Yes/No question. The following three are W-/H- questions. The last table shows us some other information.
【设计意图:运用现有调查问卷,分析调查问卷的构成,为下面的设计调查问卷做准备。】
Step 2 Presentation
Task 1 How to make a questionnaire
1. Topics: Food, shopping, fashion and festivals.
2. Ask some questions about the topics.
【设计意图:让学生就话题自由提问。只给学生相关句式结构,可以让学生自由发挥将句子补充完整。对于有能力的学生,以上四个论点完全可以脱离老师的模式范畴自由发挥,将他们最想问的问题表述出来即可。】
3. Group work.
T: Make a list of some questions about food, shopping, festivals and fashion.
【设计意图:四人一组制作调查问卷。每人就一个论点设计提问然后合成完整调查问卷,锻炼学生的合作能力。】
4. Make 12 copies of the questionnaire.
Task 2 Finish the survey and present the results
1. Ask each group to invite 12 friends to complete the questionnaire.
2. Talk to students about different ways of presenting the results of a questionnaire. Suggest that they can use the chart on page 105 as a model and make their own one.
【设计意图:统计问卷结果并以图表形式呈现,便于话题陈述。】
Step 3 Practice
Task 3 Write an article according to the results of the questionnaire
1. Make a writing plan.
T: According to the questionnaire, you can state some ideas about the four topics.
【设计意图:列写作提纲,就问卷调查结果的每个话题陈述观点,写出相关的重要短语。】
2. Organize the article.
T: You can organize the article like this. There are six paragraphs.
Paragraph 1 is the introduction of the article. It talks about what lifestyles teenagers have.
Paragraph 2 to 5 is the main body of the article. You can give your ideas about the four
topics.
Paragraph 6 is the conclusion of the article. You can show your feelings or advice.

3. Write the article.
4. Check the article.
Ask students to check their articles according to the “Writing evaluation table”.
【设计意图:根据调查问卷,完成一篇报告谈论小伙伴们的生活方式。完成写作后根据表格内容自查,力求写出一篇高质量的文章。】

1. Get more information from your friends about their lifestyles.
2. Refine your articles.
