Unit 5 Why do you like pandas?教学设计（一）学习目标1．通过观察图片，4/5的学生能掌握并运用本课重点词汇：panda，tiger，elephant，koala，lion，giraffe，，animal，cute，lazy，smart，beautiful，friendly, scary，kind, kind of.2．通过听力练习，4/5的学生能准确获取有关喜爱和描述动物的关键信息，并初识句型。3. 通过两人对话和小组合作，2/3的学生能运用以下句型谈论自己喜欢的动物并描述其特点。Let’s see the pandas first.Why do you like pandas?    Because they’re very cute.（二）教学步骤Step 1. Leading in     Greeting the whole class and enjoy a song together :Macdonald’s Farm.     T: We can hear the sound of some animals on Macdonald’s Farm.. Can you guess what are they? Where can we see more animals?     Ss: Tiger;horse;bird.... We can see them in a zoo.设计说明：用动物的声音导入可以瞬间吸引学生的兴趣，过程中老师要求学生说说身边常见的动物，以及自己知道的动物。这样，学生不但会将课本预习所知的动物说出来，还会饶有兴致地将常见的，但课本上没有出现的动物列举一些。能够进一步丰富学生的词汇量。为接下来的单词呈现做好铺垫Step2. Presentation：new wordsThe teacher shows some half-covered pictures of animals on the PPT and let Ss guess what they are.T: What animals is it?S: tiger , panda, lion ,fox ,wolf, rabbit , zebra, giraffe , monkey , sheep , goat  , horse , parrot, elephant , koala …T: What do you think of it?S: It’s interesting/scary/friendly/beautiful/cute.....Let Ss read the words together in up and falling tone. Pay attention to the adjectives.Work on 1a设计说明：围绕目标一，呈现新单词。通过猜图游戏和升降调的阅读来巩固强化重点动物名称以及一些描述动物的形容词。Step3. Pair workLet Ss work in pairs and ask each other what animals he or she like and why. Give them some sentence patterns on the screen.A: Do you like........?B: Yes, I like...../ No, I don’t like...A: Why do you like.....?B: Because it is......Invite some pairs to show before the class.设计说明:围绕目标三，呈现用第一、二人称询问喜爱动物的目标语言，结合所学过的形容词，表述理由。用同伴对话的形式进行句型操练。Step4：ListeningT: Do you want to go to the zoo to see more animals? Tom and Mary go there and let’s listen what they see in the zoo. Now listen to the tape for the first time, check the animals you hear in 1b.S: OkT :Do you have the answers?S: Yes....T: Now let’s listen to it for the second time.
