[学生回答] It means “特殊”. [教师承转] Yes, special means particular, not common, special here mean we’ll have a different lesson today, not the same as usual. (talk about the lesson to attract the students’ attention) (2) Presentation 教授新课 [教师提问] As we all know, there are mainly three kinds of people in the world. What are they? [学生回答] the black, the white and the yellow. [图片演示] 肯定学生答案,出示三张三种人种的图片。 [影片放映] A film about races. [教师承转] There are three kinds of people in the world: the white, the black and the yellow. [图片演示] 演示更多学生熟悉的照片,如中国的周恩来总理,杨利伟等,还有美国白人明星,总统布什等,还有黑人马丁·路德·金和黑人小孩的可爱照片。 [学生活动] 学生描述图片中的人物。(包括长相,身高,美丑,头发,表情,年龄,喜怒哀乐等思想感情)。丰富多彩的图片为学生讨论发言提供了平台,使英语油然成为交流的语言工具。英语语境浑然天成。 [师生总结] 三大人种基本特征。学生填完下表: Races人种 Skin皮肤 hair 头发 Face脸部 Where分布 white white Undulance 波状 high nose, thin lip Europe,America,oceania black black Curly 卷曲 fat lip厚唇 Africa,oceania,America yellow yellow black and straitht Flat 扁平 East Asia 注:人种不同的特征表达,对七年级的学生来讲,存在一些生词,比如:curly, undulance, flat等等,此时对这些词,我除了利用图片中人物的头发直观的形状来解释,还充分利用简笔画表达,学生很快就领会了,并且很快就认识了生词。通过看图反复说话,学生很快就能用新单词了。 [地图演示] 三大人种的分布。 在完成上表分布栏目前,超级链接到三大人种分布图(主要分布地区附英文名字)。 [学生活动] 观察人种的分布地区,在双语地图的帮助下,用英文说出白色人种、黄色人种和黑色人种的分布地。 [幻灯片切换] 总结三大人种的分布,完成上面的表格。 [学生思考] 黑人的祖先源于非洲,为什么如今南北美洲都有很多黑人分布? The black are from Africa. They originate from Africa. But to our surprise, there some black people in north and south America. Why is that? [学生回答] They are sold to North and South America. [教师讲解] 黑人被贩卖到美洲及世界其他地方的过程,黑人对美洲的发展做出的贡献,特别提及美国黑人领袖Martin Luther King 和他的运动。 [影片放映] Martin Luther King的“I have a dream” 的演讲片段,让学生沉浸在真实地道的美国英语当中,切身领略Martin Luther King的满腔热血和精彩的英语演讲。 [结论] Conclusions: men are created equal. It is wrong to look down people because they are different from us. So things like racial prejudices(种族歧视) should be removed. (3)Exercises 练习设计 The students strengthen what they have learnt and practice reading comprehension and writing in doing exercises.
