Teaching aims: 1. Develop the students’abilities of listening, speaking and reading
2. Learn the new words and phrases 3. Master the use of five drills
Teaching aids: a tape recorder,some slides for shows, Teaching Procedures: Step 1: A Free talk Step 2: Revision 1. Check the homework the students did during the winter holiday 2. Let the students talk about their holidays using the language they know 3. Then talk about “What’s your favourite food?” Step 2: Presentation 1. Show a picture of a cupboard with salt,pepper,oil,sugar,ect. Ask: What’s in this cupboard? Then ask What’s in your cupboard at home? 2. Teach the new words : kitchen,cupboard,salt,sugar,pepper,oil,wine,beer,….. Step 3 : Look,learn and answer 1. Get the students to look at the picture 2. Ask and answer in pairs. 3. Do WB lesson 57 ,Ex.1 Step 4: Presentation 1. Present this dialogue: A: I eat a lot of pork. B : Oh, I don’t . I eat a lot of chicken. A: So do I. 2. Practise the dialogue in pairs and work in pairs Step 5: Learn and discuss 1. Collect more food words and put them into the table. 2. Discuss the question with several ss to give some examples. 3. Let the ss work in pairs. Step 6: Puzzle dialogues 1. Check the answers as a class. 2. Have the ss practise using the expressions in the dialogues. 3. Encourage them to speak freely and use more expressions if they like. Step 7: Important phrases 1. a little /little; a few / few 2. salt,sugar,pepper,oil,wine,beer,butter,bread,food,housework,homework (不可数) 3. potato,tomato的复数形式+es,而photo,radio,zoo,piano,kilo的复数形式+s 4. So+助动词+主语。“…也这样” , 而 So+主语+助动词。“的确如此” 5. ---Would you like to do…? ---I’d love to. 6. pass sb. sth.=pass sth. to sb. 7. Help yourself to….
