In 1996, Guan came down with a stomach illness. With the aim of strengthening his immune (免疫)system, he started running in a playground near the factory. After a little more than a year of
training, he could run 10 kilometers in a very surprising time of 36 or 37 minutes.
Filled with self-confidence, he pressed on to improve his performances. Over the past 24 years, he
has kept to his training program. He competed in the Beijing Marathon in 2004 and has competed in
it every year since 2006. He competed in other marathons, too, His performance in the Xiamen
Marathon in 2012 was particularly surprising, with a finishing time of 2:56:42, by which he became
one of the most outstanding marathon runners in his age group in the country.
Being a top runner, Guan used to do exercise at least five times a week, and he would run at least

helpful in improving performance, " he says. As he gets older, his physical fitness has declined, but

As US firm launched (发行) a “smart lock” that can let you into your home using a mobile
phone and you don't even need to take the phone out of your pocket to open the door. The August
lock costs $249 and can even be set to automatically let in friends or workmen.
August was created by technology entrepreneur (企业家)Jason Johnson and industrial designer
Yves Behar, and the product will finally go on sale in Apple Stores this week. It is made of "durable
anodized aluminum" and can be started and managed using a mobile app and online, It is connected
to the existing door lock and is battery operated.
To open the lock, anyone with a code can approach the door, enable their phones blueboth and
press the relevant (相关的))address from the app. The lock takes a few seconds to scan and confirm
the visitors' identity. Once the identity is confirmed, the circle of red dots on the front of the device
turns green and the August lock twists (转动)to open the door.
The makers claim that it takes just 10 minutes to install. To allow keyless access to friends,
family and other visitors, the homeowner must send them an invitation. This can be done using
existing contacts from the homeowner's phone's address book, but other persons must have the
August app to receive the unique code of the lock from the homeowner.
When someone enters the house, the homeowner is sent a push notice. Another notice is sent
when the person leaves. This means homeowners can keep track of how long cleaners or builders
spend in the house and every visitor's details and visiting information is stored on a Log.

Amazon is reportedly working on a free, ad-supported music offering as another option to its
paid Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music services to better compete with Apple Music,
Google Music and Spotify. According to Billboard, the free plan could go live as soon as possible.
At this time, the service is only available in the US for users who request music by a trial version
(HIA), but a full-fledged version of the free ad- based music service is expected to be launched
sometime in the future.
Billboard reports that Amazon is now in talks to make an ad-based free level available for its
music service. The company is expected to advertise the plan with its Echo speakers. By now,
Amazon Music Unlimited runs $ 10 per month standalone (单机), the same as Apple Music and
Sportify. Meanwhile Prime Music offers Amazon Prime members a more limited selection of
content for no extra charge. A new ad supported free level would make Amazon the third music
offering.
Billboard notes that it's not clear how many paying users Amazon currently has, though it may
have been around 20 million last year for all of its services. In contrast, Apple Music reportedly hit
28 million paying users in the US alone, beaten by Spotify.
Amazon hasn't disclosed how many paying music users it has, but some reports last year
estimated it counts over 20 million users across its offerings and expect it to gain steadily thanks to
integration with its market-leading smart speakers.
But Spotify is still the market leader for global users when it comes to music services with close
to 100 million users. Amazon’s move could attract more and more users.

Last Saturday, a thing made me very embarrassed. That day one of my friends who had just
