The doctor gave him some... 【错因分析】容易将第一个 the 改为 a。有些考生认为,在文章中,doctor 在此为第一次出 现,前面用不定冠词,结果误改答案。 【试题解析】其实,go to the/a doctor 都可以,因此没有必要去改它。而 help 既可作可数 名词,表示"提供帮助的人或物",也可作不可数名词,表示抽象的概念"帮助"。此处指工 人找医生帮忙,help 为抽象概念,前面不用冠词,所以要将 a help 中的 a 去掉。 【参考答案】将 a help 中的 a 去掉。 英语中冠词只有三个,只能从以下几个方向出题: 1)不定冠词 a 和 an 互改;2)不定冠词 a 或 an 和定冠词 the 互改; 3)根据需要增删冠词。如: 1. (each 后加 of)Tom ... in the morning and was always late with work. 【解析】be late for 是英语中的习惯短语,意为"做……迟到"。 【答案】改 with 为 for It’s been a week after we left your family and we are now back home. 【错因分析】容易改 after 为 during。有些考生将句意理解为"我们离开你家的这段时间已经 有一周了",于是将 after 误改为 during。 【试题解析】根据英语句型 It’s (has been) a period of time since...的结构,改 after 为 since。 【参考答案】改 after 为 since。 and\but\or 误用及前后不一致 主要考查 and、or、but、so 等并列连词的误用。However 与 although/though 不能 同时出现 改正方法;1)根据句意确定误; 2)根据句子的逻辑关系确定错误。如: 1. She is smiling at me but nodding at me.(but 改为 and) 2. It looks as if my parents treat me as a visitor and a guest.(and 改为 or) 3. The food was expensive and the service was good.(and 改为 but)4. She liked it very much and reads it to the class.(reads 改为 read) 从句连词 句子结构方面的错误主要涉及到句子成份和复合句的关联词等。解答这类题时从以下方面 来思考: 1)句子结构是否完整,成份是否冗缺; 2)复合句中从句的关系词或引导词的运用是否得当等。 平 行 结 构 常 使 用 等 立 连 词 and, but, or 或 连 词 词 组 not only…but also…, either…or…,neither…nor…遵循就近原则。 主语+With, together with, as well as, besides 动词与主语一致 and,but, or, also 前后 动词时态不一致。(具有对称性)如: 1. It was about noon we arrived at the foot of the mountain.(noon 后加 when) 2. I don’t know that they don’t like to talk with me.(that 改为 why) 3. The main problem was in that I always thought in Chinese and tried to translate everything into English.(去掉 that 前的 in) 4. What things are in other homes, I wonder.(What 改为 How) 5. Earning their own money allows them to spend on anything as if they please.(去掉 if) 6. However, my father had to return to... 【错因分析】容易改 However 为 But。有些考生认为,表示转折关系用 but,从而将 however 误改为 but。 【试题解析】因为 another couple of 接名词的复数形式。 【参考答案】改 day 为 days (1) 根据名词前的修饰限定成份; (2) 根据上下文的逻辑关系。如: 1. She said that she and my schoolmate all wished me success.(schoolmate 改为 schoolmates) 2. After class we become stranger at once.(stranger 改为 strangers) 3. They want me to devote all my time to my studies so that I’ll get marks in all my subject. (subject 改为 subjects)4. On the way up I was busy taking picture since the scenery was so beautiful. (picture 改为 pictures) 5. There are advantage for students to work while studying at school.(advantage 改 为 advantages) 6. He had no ideas that the kitchen was not for guests.(ideas 改为 idea) 7. I looked at his other hands. (hands 改为 hand) 1. Tom was having much troubles getting up in the morning... 【解析】在 have trouble in doing sth. 中,介词 in 可省略,因此是否有 in 不影响句子正误。 此处的关键在于 trouble 是不可数名词,意为"麻烦",没有复数形式,所以正确答案应改 troubles 为 trouble。有些考生认为,have trouble in doing sth. 是英语习惯句型,于是误 在 getting 前面加介词 in。 【答案】改 troubles 为 trouble。 2. Although her English is a little hard to understand, we enjoy chatting and we usually talk a lot about our own family. 【解析】根据上下文可知,这里指的家庭并不是同一个家庭,而是我们各自的家庭,应用复数 形式。 【答案】改 family 为 families。 He had time for a properly breakfast and was still the first to reach the factory. 【错因分析】容易改 for 为 to。有些考生受 have time to do sth. 的影响,改 for 为 to,结 果将答案弄错。【试题解析】breakfast 是名词,不能用副词修饰,只能用形容词修饰,因此改 properly 为 proper。 【参考答案】改 properly 为 proper。 主要考查形容词和副词的误用、形容词及副词的比较级等。 1)根据 adj.或 adv.的基本用法确定错误; 2)修饰连系动词或名词用形容词; 3)修饰行为动词、形容词、过去分词及整个句子用副词。如: 1. I would describe myself as shy and quietly.(quietly 改为 quiet) 2. There have been reports in America about people trying to steal person information for bad purposes.(person 改为 personal) 3. Finding information on the Net is easily.(easily 改为 easy) 4. So what I learned from the job was much more important as what I earned.(as 改 为 than) 5. My pronunciation was terribly .(terribly 改为 terrible) 6. They came back lately and had some tea.(lately 改为 late) 1. My brother was so much fond of the museums there... 【解析】fond 是形容词,不能用 much 修饰,应该去掉 much。 【答案】去掉 much。 2. If you’d like to make a trip to our city some day, I will be better than happy to be your guide. 【解析】此句中,more than 修饰形容词 happy,意为"非常"。【答案】改 better 为 more。 However, my father had to return to work on Monday so we fly back last Saturday afternoon. 【错因分析】在 so 后面加 that。有些考生受 so that 影响,认为 so 后面一定要接 that,从 而写错答案。 【试题解析】根据上下文可知,此处指过去发生的事情,谓语动词 fly 应该用过去时,于是改 fly 为 flew。 【参考答案】改 fly 为 flew。 1)谓语动词和非谓语动词的错用; 2)动词不定式和动名词的错用; 3)现在分词和过去分词的错用等。如: 1. Earning their own money allow them to spend on anything as they please.(allow 改为 allows) 2. My parents will do all they can make sure that I get a good education.(make 前加 to) 3. The man did as told and slept really well, wake up before the alarm had even gone off. 【解析】wake up...表示前面动作的自然结果,于是改 wake 为 waking。有些考生认为, wake up...表示前面动作的结果,于是在 wake 前面加 so,造成答案错误。 【答案】改 wake 为 waking 2. "Boss,"he said, "that medicine really works!""I’m pleasing to hear it," said his boss, "but where were you yesterday?" 【解析】表示主语的心理状态,please 用过去分词形式,be pleased to do (乐意做)为 固定搭配。 【答案】改 pleasing 为 pleased。 3. I’ve soon got used to live without my parents around. 【解析】be/become/get used to 后面接动词-ing 形式,表示"习惯于做……"。 【答案】改 live 为 living。 That I want to tell you is the deep love and respect I have for my parents. 【试题解析】句意:我想告诉你的是我对父母的深爱和尊重。此处应用 What 引导主语从句, 且 What 在从句中作 tell 的直接宾语,相当于"the thing that..."。 【参考答案】That—What句法型错误包括:主谓一致;各种从句的引导词;强调句型;句子结构的连贯性、完整性、 对等性及逻辑性。 句法型错误 1. 主谓一致 对主谓一致的考查主要根据语法、意义、就近、就远等一致原则,判断人称和数是否与主 语保持一致。常考点如下: (1)由 or,nor,either...or,neither...nor,not only...but also 等连接并列主语时,谓语 动词的单复数遵循就近原则; (2)当主语是 A with/together with/as well as/including/...B 时,谓语动词的单复数由 A 决定,遵循就远原则; (3)动名词、不定式或名词从句作主语时,谓语动词常用单数; (4)"half/most/part/the rest/分数/百分数+of+名词"作主语时,谓语动词要和 of 之 后的名词的单复数保持一致; (5)a quantity of/quantities of 后既可接复数名词,也可接不可数名词,其谓语动词一般 取决于 quantity 的单复数。 2. 连接词 连接词主要包括名词性从句中的连接词,定语从句中的关系词,状语从句中的连接词,以 及主从复合句和并列句中的连接词等。特别是对 which 和 that 引导定语从句、抽象名词后面 常常跟 that 引导的同位语从句等的考查。 3. 句子成分赘余 句子成分赘余一般有如下几种类型:(1)受母语思维影响,出现汉语式结构,造成冗言;(2)不明词义内涵,造成词义重叠;(3)介词多余;(4)助动词、系动词多余;(5)多冠词;(6)定 语从句中成分重复;(7)程度副词和频率副词,如 much,more,often 等的多余;(8)小品词 to 多余等。 4. 缺词错误 缺词现象常见的有: (1)缺系动词; (2)缺介词; (3)缺冠词、物主代词等限定词; (4)在定语从句中缺关系代词或关系副词; (5)缺连接词; (6)缺否定词; (7)缺不定式符号 to 等。 1. Today, I am going to talk with (about) what you should do when a fire alarm go off. 【解析】该句的主语为 a fire alarm,为单数名词,其谓语动词应用第三人称单数形式。 【答案】go→goes 2. People would like to take part in this contest should go to the office of the Students’ Union and sign up. 【解析】定语从句缺少引导词。此句中的引导词 who 或 that 在从句中作主语,不能省略。 【答案】People 后加 who 或 thatWe ran to escape but fortunately no one was injured. 【试题解析】连词前后两句话为顺承关系。 【参考答案】but—and 注意把握前后文的逻辑关系是解答此类题的关键。表示顺承关系常用连词 and;表示转 折关系常用连词 but 或有时用副词 however;表示因果关系常用 so 或 therefore 等。 行文逻辑错误主要指根据语境判断上下文的衔接错误,以及 before 与 after,since 等的 使用错误。如果是并列句,要注意根据语境判断句子之间是转折、并列、递进、还是让步关系, 从而选择正确的连词。 1. If you notice that when someone is missing and (or) hurt, tell your teacher immediately. 【解析】该句的意思是"若发现有人失踪或受伤了,就要立刻告诉老师"。句中的 if 引导条件 状语从句,when 多余。 【答案】去掉 when 2.
