母亲节的由来：
母亲节起源于美国。1906年5月9日，美国费
城的安娜·贾薇丝的母亲不幸去世，悲痛万分的她
在次年母亲周年忌日，组织了追思母亲的活动，并
鼓励他人也以类似方式来表达对各自慈母的感激之
情。此后，她到处游说并向社会各界呼吁，号召设
立母亲节。她的呼吁获得热烈响应。美国参众两院
通过决议案，决定每年5月的第二个星期日为母亲
节。
这一举措引起世界各国纷纷仿效。
节日献礼
• 国际上献给母亲的花是康乃馨，它在纤细青翠的花
茎上，开着鲜艳美丽的花朵，花瓣紧凑而不易凋落，
叶片细长而不易卷曲，花朵雍容富丽，姿态高雅别
致。

Once there was a tree…...
从前有一棵树……
And
she loved
a
little boy.
她好爱一个小男孩。
And every day
the boy
would come
每天男孩都会跑来，
And
he
would
gather
her
leaves
收集她的叶子，
And make them
into crowns
and play king of the forest.
把叶子编成皇冠，
扮起森林里的国王
He would climb up her trunk
男孩会爬上树干，
And swing from her branches
抓着树枝荡秋千，
And eat apples
吃吃苹果。
And they
would play
hide and go seek
他们会一起玩捉迷藏。
And when
he was tired,
he would sleep
in her shade.
玩累了，
男孩就在她的树荫下睡觉。
And the boy loved the tree…..
男孩好爱这棵树……

And the tree was happy
树好快乐。
But time went by.
日子一天天过去，
And the boy grew older.
男孩长大了。
And the tree was often alone.
树常常好孤独。
Then one day the boy came to the tree and the
tree said,”Come, Boy, come and climb up my
trunk and swing from my branches and eat
apples and play in my shade and be “happy”
“I am too big to climb and play”said the boy.
“I want to buy thing and have fun. I want
some money.
Can you give me some money?”
I’m sorry” said the tree,”but I have no money.
I have only leaves and apples.
Take my apples, Boy, and sell them in city.
Then you will have money and you’ll be
happy”
树说：「来啊，孩子，来，爬上我的
树干，抓著我树枝荡秋千，吃吃苹果，
在我的树荫下玩耍， 快快乐乐的！」
有一天
男孩来到树下
「我要买东西来玩，我要钱。你
可以給我一些钱吗？」
「我不是小孩子了，我不要
爬树和玩耍。」男孩说。
「真抱歉。」树说「我沒有钱。
我只有树叶和苹果。孩子，
拿我的苹果到城里去卖。这样，
你就会有钱，你就会快乐了。」
And so the boy climb up the
tree and gathered
her apples
and carried them away.
And the tree was happy.
于是男孩爬到树上，
摘下她的苹果，
把苹果通通帶走了。
树好快乐。
But the boy stayed away
for a long time……
and the tree was sad.
And then one day
the boy came back
and the tree shook with joy
and she said, “,”Come, Boy
come and climb up my trunk
and swing from my branches
and eat apples and play in my
shade and be “happy”
“I am too busy to climb trees,”
said the boy. “I want a house to keep
me warm,” he said. “I and want a
wife and I want children,
and so I need a house.
Can you give me a house?”
“I have no house” said the tree.
The forest is my house.” said the tree
but you may cut off my branches
and build a house.
Then you will be happy
男孩好久都沒有再来……树
好伤心。
有一天，
男孩回来了，树高兴地发抖，
她說：「来啊！孩子，爬上我
的树干，抓著我的树枝荡秋千，
快快乐乐的。」
「我太忙，沒时间爬树。」男孩说。「我
想要一间房子保暖。」他说 「我想要妻
子和小孩，所以我需要一間房子，你可以
给我一间房子吗？
「我沒有房子。」树说。「森林就是我的房子，不过 ，你可以砍
下我的树枝，去盖房子，这样你就会快乐了。」
And so the boy cut off
her branches
and carried them away
to build a house.
于是男孩砍下了
她的树枝，
把树枝帶走，
去盖房子。
And the tree was happy.
树好快乐。
But the boy stayed away
for a long time……
and the tree was sad.
And when he came back,
the tree was so happy
she could hardly speak
“Come, Boy” she whispered,
“Come and play”
“I am too old and sad to
play.”
said the boy.
“I want a boat that will take
me away from here.
Can you give me a boat ?”
“Cut down my trunk
and make a boat,”
said the tree.
Then you can sail
away……
and be happy.”
可是男孩好久都沒有再来， 所以当男孩再回来的时
候，树太快乐了，快乐得几乎说不出话来。「来啊！
孩子」她轻轻地说过来，来玩呀！」
「我又老又伤心，玩不动了」男孩说。
「我想要一条船，可以帶我远离这里。你可以给我一条
船吗？」
「砍下我的树干去造条船吧！」
树说。
「这样你就可以远航……
你就会快乐。」
And so the boy cut down her trunk And made a boat and sail away.
于是男孩砍下了她的树干，
造了条船，坐船走了。
And the tree was happy…..
树好快乐。
But not really.
但不是真的。
And after a long time
the boy came back again.
“I am sorry, Boy,”
said the tree, “but I have nothing
left to give you--- 过了好久好久，那男孩
又再回来了。
「我很抱歉，孩子。」
树说：「我已经沒有东
西可以给你了，
My apples are gone.”
“My teeth are too weak for apple,”
said the boy.
“My branches are gone,”
said the tree.”You cannot swing on them---”
I am too old to swing on branches”
said the boy.
“My trunk is gone,” said the tree.
“You cannot climb----”
I am too tired to climb,”
said the boy.
“I am sorry” sighed the tree.
“I wish that I could give you something…
but I have nothing left. I am just an old
stump. I am sorry…”
我的苹果沒了。」
「我的牙齿也咬不动苹果了。」
「我的树枝沒了。
你不能在上面荡秋千了──」
「我太老了，不能在
上面荡秋千。」男孩说。
「我真希望我能给你什么……
可是我什么也沒了。我只剩下
一块老树根。我很抱歉……」
「我的树干沒了。」
树说。「你不能爬──」
「我太累了，爬不动的。」男孩说。
「我很抱歉。」树叹了口气。
I don’t need very much now”
said the boy.
“just a quiet place to sit and rest.
I am very tired”
“Well” said the tree,
straightening herself up
as much as she could,
“well, an old stump is good
for sitting and resting.
Come, Boy, sit down.
and rest.”
And the boy did
「我现在要的不多。」男孩说。
「只要一個安静，可以坐着
休息的地方。我好累好累。」
「好啊。」树一边说，一边努力挺直身子。
「正好啊，老树根是最适合
坐下來休息的。来啊！孩子，坐下来，坐下
来休息。」
男孩坐了下来。
And the tree was happy
