Betty made a pizza. It smells delicious, but it tastes too strong. Daming doesn’t like cheese,
because it doesn’t smell fresh. Lingling made some cholocate cookies. They taste really sweet.
Lingling is wearing a lovely sweater, and it feels very soft and comfortable. They both look very
smart. Sally sounds really nice, and she looks very pretty in her photo.

So show me your map of Beijing, Lingling. Here’s Tian’anmen Square. On the left, over there,
is the Great Hall of the People. And on the right is the National Museum of China. Go straight ahead,
the Forbidden City is opposite Tian’anmen Square. Chairman Mao Memorial Hall is between the
Great Hall of the People and the museum. Go across the square. Turn left into Chang’an Jie and turn
right into Changjie. I think there’s an entrance of Beihai Park on the corner of Chang Jie and Wenjin
Jie.

Welcome to this short tour of London. In this square we are standing in the middle of London.
Opposite is the National Gallery, a museum with lots of famous paintings. Turn left and go to the
Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Opposite you see the London Eye. You can see most of London
on a clear day. When you are tired, the best way to see London is by boat. Get off the boat at Tower
Bridge. There you can see the Tower of London next to the bridge.

It was interesting to learn about the Wolong Panda Reserve. But it’s sad to think about all those
animals in danger. We need to protect them better. It isn’t right to kill whales or elephants for their
meat, but it’s hard to stop the killing. Many animals have no place to live in, because we’re taking
away their lands and forests. We have also made their water dirty. So we need to help the animals live
in peace. But many people decide not to think about it. What on earth can we do? Let’s find out what
we can do to save them…

The panda is one of the animals most in danger. There are about 1000 pandas living in nature reserves
today. Pandas live in forest and mountains of Southwest China. They mainly live on bamboo. The
area of bamboo is becoming smaller for different reasons, so pandas have less and less land to live on.
Our government is working hard to save pandas. It has made a new plan to help pandas. The nature
reserves will be bigger and the bamboo will grow better. Then the pandas will have enough food to
eat and enough place to live in. The panda is one of the best-known animals in the world. The WWF
works to protect all animals in danger, so the panda has become the symbol of all animals in danger.
There is still a long way to go to save the panda. We need to work harder to save them.

to understand more next time. By the way, Lao She was a famous writer. He’s especially famous for
his play, Teahouse. The story happens in a Beijing teahouse.

Some friends are talking about presents for Lingling’s birthday next week. Tony are going
shopping for the present. He says it’s really cold. He is also going to England, he thinks it may
not be cold, just wet. Betty might go to Australia. She guesses it’s probably be hot and sunny.
Daming is off to Hongkong. It may be quite cool, but it’ll probably be dry.

You can choose any time you like to visit the USA. New York and Washington are good places to
visit in May or October. It’s not too hot then. The best plan is to arrive in New England in September,
if you may want to take photos of the autumn leaves. Bring your swimsuit in Los Angeles, because
you might want to swim in the sea. It’s pleasant to visit Alaska in July and August, but don’t come in
winter. It’ll be dark all day and freezing cold. In Texas and the southeast, there are storms from time
to time in summer and fall.
在五月或者十月,New York and Washington 是游
