Frank is a student. He likes playing with his phone very much. And he keeps the phone with him at all times. His dad thinks he is addicted(上瘾的) to his phone. But Frank doesn’t think so. They write to each other.
Dear Frank,
You’ve heard the warnings. It’s reported that fifty percent of the teenagers depend on their phones too much. I think you have this problem too. That’s why I think you should give up your phone. Not forever, just for a week. I’m warned that you are developing some bad habits. You keep your phone with you all the time—you even check the basketball scores at the dinner table. It’s not a good idea to use your phone while you are doing homework. You can’t put your heart into your homework at all. And you may make more mistakes when you can’t fully put your heart into it. There are many good reasons to take a break from your phone. Have a try! So what do you say? Are you ready to give up using your phone?
Dad
Dear Dad,
I know you think I depend on my phone too much. But I’m just using technology to help my life to be better. My phone helps me in many ways.
Do you remember that time when the car broke down? I sent a message to tell you that I was going to be safe.
If I didn’t, you would be worried about me. My phone helps me with my homework too. I can take up anything in a second. It’s really hard to be successful today if you don’t have a phone. Social media, games, and apps might seem silly to you, but they help me to keep in touch with my friends. I promise to cut back my phone use, and I won’t use it at the dinner table any more. But giving it up for a week would be a mistake and it wouldn’t change anything in the long term.
Frank.

When he was a teenager, Hunter Adams was very unhappy, and he spent many years in a special hospital for people with mental(心理的) health problems. When he left hospital, Adams decided to become a doctor, so he went to a medical school in Virginia, in America. But when he was there, he did things in different ways. A study into how lazy British people are has found more than half of the adults are so lazy that they’d catch the lift rather than climb two flights of stairs.
Just over 2,000 people were quizzed by independent researchers in the Britain’s largest health centre. The results were very surprising.
About one in six people who were asked said if their remote control was broken, they would continue watching the same channel rather than get up.
More than one third of those asked said they would not run to catch a bus. Worryingly, of the 654 respondent(离婚被告) with children, 64% said they were often too tired to play with them.
We know that it’s no wonder that one in six children in the UK are very fat before they start school.
Dr Sarah Dauncey, medical director of the centre, said, “People need to get fitter, not just for their own health, but for their families, friends and pets too.”
“If we don’t start to take control of this problem, a whole generation will become too unfit to perform even the most basic tasks.”
And Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow, was shamed as the laziest city in the UK, with 75% asked thinking they do not get enough exercise, followed closely by Birmingham and Southampton, both with 67%.
So there are some problems for the National Health Service, where fatness-related(相关的)illness such as heart disease and cancer have been on an increase for the past 40 years and are costing billions of pounds every year.

B. Half of the children are very fat before they go to school.
C. Pets will be in trouble if their owners don't keep healthy.
D.All people in Glasgow feel ashamed because they don't get enough exercise.
69.From the last paragraph, we can learn______ if they keep lazy.
A. people may have heart disease B. people can work at home all the time

Welcome the age of bike-sharing, but the idea is not new now. It has happened in Europe for years. In the 1960s, there was a movement(运动) called "the White Bike Plan" in Holland. Too many cars took up roads, and people there couldn't bear(忍受)them. They painted 50 bicycles white. After an opening activity was held in the square near the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, they left the bikes unlocked on the street. But their plan failed. Who would have guessed it was illegal(违法的) to leave a bike unlocked in a public place? The activity had finished after the policemen took the white bikes to their office.
In 1974, a successful bike-sharing plan began in La Rochelle, France, and it continues to this day.
Now our country has used the plan of bike-sharing. It started in Beijing firstly. Then they appeared in different places for the people who need them. It all happened so fast. Now many cities in our country have shared bikes. What will next year bring? There will be fewer traffic jams(堵塞) and less air pollution.
根据短文内容,回答下列问题。(No More Than Seven Words)
86. What country did the idea of bike-sharing come from?
87. Why did the people in Holland organize the movement "the White Bike Plan"?
88. How did the policemen deal with the white unlocked bikes?
89. How long have shared bikes been in use in France?
90. What will shared bikes bring according to the article?
七、任务型阅读(共10小题;每小题1分, 满分10分)
阅读下面短文,在表格内的空白处填入合适的答案(每格限填一词)。
Do you ever feel like you are just running from one activity to another? In school, do you rush from one subject to another?
When things happen so fast, it is easy to get lost of what you are doing or learning. It is important to stop yourself every now and then to think about what you’ve been doing or learning.
Self-reflection(反省) means slowing down and calming yourself, including calming your mind. By being calm and going slowly, you give your brain a chance to think about what it has already received. Some people prefer to do these self-reflections only in their mind. Others keep a diary or written notes. Either method works, depending on your own personal learning.
School textbooks are divided into units of study. This makes it easier for someone to begin self-reflection. Look for time when you complete a unit of study in the subjects you are learning, such as math, science and art. Sometimes you know the unit is over because there is some kind of test. Use these natural breaks to stop and do self-reflection.
Find a quiet place. You can even be sitting at your desk at school when you finish something early and the other students are still working. If you are going to take notes, take out paper or your reflection diary. Write down some notes on the new things that you learned in the unit. Let your mind think about the notes you have written and make some connections.
Next, think about things that you are not sure of. Maybe you learned a new way to work out a math problem, but you’re not sure when to use it. Writing down your questions will help you remember to look for answers the next time you are working with the same topic.
Self-reflection is important for a successful student. If you have never taken the time to do self-reflection, try it now.
