I. Aims and demands
1. The language item in this unit is how to follow the orders given in the unit in the PE lesson. The students are required to learn the imperative sentences of “Put…on… Touch…with…” and their answers.
2.The teacher should try to design a situation for the students to understand the function and meaning of the sentences.
3. It’s better for the students to take part in the activities and use the sentence patterns practically in daily life.
4.Outdoor activities can help the students raise the ability of using the language.
II. Time arrangement: This unit can be divided into five or six periods.

Look at the Teacher’s mouth and say English words.

a. T: Look at this rabbit .It has two long ears, two red eyes , a short tail and short legs. It’s very lovely.
b. Look at this puppet ,It has a round face ,two small eyes, a big mouth ,two long legs and a short neck.
c. Ss work in groups of four.
d. Ss describe the puppets /dolls / toy animals they bring with them.
C. Look , read and learn (SB,P46.B)
1.Look at the wall picture .Say the names of parts of a body.
2.Listen to the tape recordings, repeat after the tape.
3.Practice reading.
4.Look for friends.
Ask some students to put some words on the right parts of a body on the wall picture on the Bb.

1. Games.
a. It has four legs, two big ears and a long nose. What is it? Guess. (an elephant)
b. It has two long ears ,two red eyes ,a short tail, white far, short legs .It can run very fast. What is it? Guess?(a rabbit)
2. Explain the game rule
One student thinks of a monster, and draws it down. Then he/she describes the monster to some students. Other students try to draw a monster according to the boy’s description. After that all the other students compare their drawing to the first student . The one whose drawing is the best match will win the game.
3. Teacher makes up some strange animals, let the students listen and draw .To see who draws the fastest and best.
e.g. Listen and draw
It has a round face, a rectangle body, two long legs, two short arms. It has two oval eyes, a triangle nose, a heart mouth. It has two star fingers, two oval feet. What is it?
4. Ss try to make up materials for listening and drawing. then play games in the group.
5.Teacher gathers all the drawings from the students. Put them on the showing board or make up a picture book for display.
E. Homework.
1.Write Part. D in SB P.48 in the exercise books.
2.Try to describe the drawings to the class.
3.Read Parts B,C,D,E,F, twice. Listen to the tape for twenty minutes.

2. To know the pronunciation of the letters combinations in words: ai,ay.

Master the three skilled sentence patterns skillfully.

b. Put your hands on your head and turn left and right. Do this ten times.
c. Put your feet together. Jump up and down five times.
d. Bend your knees. Move your legs to the left, then move them to the right.
e. Lift up your left leg and touch it with your right hand. Lift up your right leg and touch it with your left hand. Do this ten times.
f. Touch your toes with your fingers three times.
g. Turn left and right seven times.
h. Sit down everybody.
C. Read and say (SB. P.44.A)
1. Put the wall pictures on the blackboard. Look at the pictures carefully. Talk about the pictures with the students.
2. Listen to the tape recordings carefully. Try to find out what Mr Ma orders the students to do.

6. Role dialogues (T---Ss, Ss---T, Ss---Ss, S---Ss )
7. Practice dialogues in group of six. One of them acts as a PE teacher and gives orders. The others follow the orders.
8. Act out the dialogues.
D. Consolidation

1. Ss read the four words with the same vowel sound.
2. Ask some Ss to say the sound out. Let the Ss know the letters combination “ai, ay” in words are pronounced / ei /.
3. Look at the picture carefully in order to know the meaning of it. Then read out the sentence several times. Pay attention to the pause of the meaning groups.
F. Homework
1. Read Part A fluently after class.
2. Try to give orders to the classmates around.
3. Learn the four skilled words and sentence patterns by heart.
