一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Warming up
This week,we have learnt about movies.Everyone enjoys the plays in this unit.Who’s your favourite actor or actress? Would you find out who is the most important people in the movies?Can you name some people who work behind the scenes on movies and plays?Let’s see Jenny’s blog.
设计意图:影视对学生来说并不陌生,很容易让学生产生共鸣,激发学生的兴趣,同时,有效激活学生对相关的背景知识的认识,能最终为阅读部分的教学做很好的铺垫。
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Think about it
Let the students talk about the questions in groups.
After a while,let them present their ideas to the class in front of the class.
设计意图:为学生创设情景,尽快融入到所学知识中去,也可以为接下来的教学做铺垫。
Step 3:Presentation
1.教师先不教授本课新词,而是让学生在阅读练习中,根据课文大意,推测新词意义。
2.快速阅读课文,找出第三段的中心句。
设计意图:本活动的目的是让学生通过快速阅读寻找有用信息,利用主题句理解段落大意,以此形成对课文内容的初步理解。
Step 4:Reading
Do Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It!”
The students read the text and answer the questions.

设计意图:学生通过这一活动,形成语感。细读课文要求学生带着明确的目标去阅读、查找答案,以达到有的放矢地分析课文、理解课文、解决问题的目的。学生首先在书上查找信息,属于知识的输入阶段,然后带着提供的句子找出答案,是知识输出的过程,真正把知识转换为能力。

Step 6:Explain the language notes of the text to the class
1.two weeks 两个礼拜 twoweek 两个礼拜(长)的……
如:“He is in Shanghai for two weeks.”他会在上海待两个礼拜。“He is in Shanghai for a twoweek English course.”他在上海参加一个为期两个礼拜的英语课程。简单地说,twoweek可以充当形容词。

4.One group made a movie that was a comedy.一组制作了一个喜剧。
本句是一个定语从句复合句,定语从句先行词是a movie。
