（1）be supposed to do sth. 中的to是动词不定式符号，其后要跟动词原形，be有人称和时态的变化。
be supposed to 的主语是“人”时，意为“应该……，被期望……”，可用来表劝告、建议、义务或责任等，相当于情态动词should。如：
You are supposed to ask the teacher if you want to leave the classroom. 如果你想要离开教室，你应该先问问老师。
be supposed to的主语是“物”时，意为“本应，本该”，用于表示某事本应该发生而没有发生。如：
The meeting is supposed to take place on Tuesday,but we have to put it off. 这个会议本应该在星期二举行，但我们不得不把它推迟了。
be supposed to的否定结构为be not supposed to,常用于口语中，意为“不被许可……，不应当……”。如：
You are not supposed to do that. 你不应当做那种事情。
（2）be supposed to 与should的用法区别
be supposed to do sth.：be supposed是suppose一词的__________语态结构。后接动词不定式时，含义相当于should后接动词__________，并且should属于__________语态形式，使用起来较严肃和正式；而be supposed to do sth.的使用较随便,建议性强。
