Presentation ‎1. (Show some pictures and phrases on the screen and ask students to match them.)‎ watch TV, clean, read a newspaper, listen to a CD, talk on the phone..., use the computer, make soup, wash the dishes, exercise 15‎ ‎2. Work on ‎1a. Ss read the activities and look at the pictures. Then match the activities with pictures. ‎ ‎3. Check the answers with the Ss. ‎ II Listening ‎ ‎1. T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing? Now let’s listen to the tape, find out the right activities from ‎1a. ‎ ‎2. Play the recording for the Ss twice.‎ ‎3. Listening Explanation:‎ 现在进行时表示现在(说话瞬间)或现阶段正在进行或发生的动作,常与now, these days等时间状语连用。现在进行时的结构:am/ is/ are +v.-ing动词现在分词的变化规则:‎ ‎1. 一般情况下,直接在动词后加-ing。‎ ‎2. 以辅音字母加不发音的字母e结尾的,去e,再加-ing。‎ ‎3. 在重读闭音节里,以一个辅音字母结尾的,双写该辅音字母再加-ing。‎ 如:‎ watch-watching clean-cleaning read-reading talk-talking listen-listening use-using make-making wash-washing exercise-exercising ‎3.
