Please spread a cloth on the table. 3) disappoint a) fail to be or do sth. as good as was hoped for or desired or expected by sb. Don’t disappoint me by being late again. b) prevent ( hope ,plan etc) from becoming reality It disappoints his expectation. (常用结构)  be disappointed at / about sth. be  disappointed  to do sth. be disappointed that-clause (同根词) disappointment 4) force a) n. influence,physical strength or power , violent strength or power He overcame his bad habits by sheer force of will. Nothing  can prevent us from going. Bad weather prevented me from starting. 3)              depend on/upon: 取决于,依靠,信赖, Children depended on their parents for food and clothing. Good health depends upon good food, exercise ,and getting enough sleep. 4)              cheer up : take comfort ,become happy He cheered up at once when I promised to help him. 5)              now that : because of the fact Now that you mention it , I do remember the incident. Now that you have made mistakes, you should be punished. 6)              break out : a)                  ( violent events ) start syddently Fire broke out during the night. b)                  escape from a place by using force Several prisoners broke out of the hail.
