Nothing  can prevent us from going. Bad weather prevented me from starting. 3)              depend on/upon: 取决于,依靠,信赖, Children depended on their parents for food and clothing. Good health depends upon good food, exercise ,and getting enough sleep. 4)              cheer up : take comfort ,become happy He cheered up at once when I promised to help him. 5)              now that : because of the fact Now that you mention it , I do remember the incident. Now that you have made mistakes, you should be punished. 6)              break out : a)                  ( violent events ) start syddently Fire broke out during the night. b)                  escape from a place by using force Several prisoners broke out of the hail.
