My granddaughter, 10, was very happy the day before yesterday because her mother and the mother of one of her classmates took them to a park and a Pizza Hut （比萨饼屋）to celebrate Children’s Day. Last week our school held an English week. It started on May 11 and ended on May 15. All the students, our English teachers and some American professors from Ningxia University took part in it. During the week, we sang English songs, joined in English speaking contests, put on short English plays, watched English films and guessed riddles in English. We became more interested in English and our speaking ability has greatly improved. As everyone knows, practice makes perfect. I learned a lot from this activity. I think it’s a good way to learn English. I like it very much.
