In modern society, living without money sounds almost impossible. However,
that’s exactly what an Australian couple from a big city has been doing for nearly a
whole year.
Rachel Newby, 25, and Liam Culbertson, 27, have come up with creative

In order to show that showering isn’t a big deal, an American hasn’t taken
a shower for 12 years. Instead, he sprays (喷洒) himself with something special
that is said to have kept him clean over the years.
Dave Whitlock, a chemical engineer, thinks no fact can show that bathing is a healthy practice. “I haven’t taken a shower for 12 years, ” he says. “In fact, the chemical (化学物) in our soap have killed all the friendly bacteria (细菌) that live on our skin when we use it. ”

More than 95 percent of people in the world have phones today, according to the United Nations. Phone calls and messages help us easily keep in touch with others. It means that we seldom write letters now. But a TV show, Letters Alive (《见字如面》), is bringing back this old habit.
