OK, let's go skiing.‎ Text 10‎ ‎ Parking rules are rules for a reason——and I'm reminding everyone why it's so important to follow them.‎ ‎ My son, Cary, was born with a brain bleeding which leads to difficulties of movement and speech. As a result, Cary uses a wheelchair. A week ago, I was leaving a doctor's appointment with my son when I noticed a car parked over the blue lines of a parking lot, making it difficult for Cary to get into our car. We had to wait for the car owner to come out of the store, who said she didn't know what the lines meant. At the time of his birth, we had no clue to the struggles we would meet with while raising a child with special needs. Sometimes, even people with disabilities don't understand how important it is not to park over the blue lines. And this issue is what we face every day. After talking with many friends and families, we noticed that many people just do not know what those lines are for. My husband and I made the decision to use social media as a way to raise awareness for Cary and his condition. We try our best to be positive instead of blaming people just because they do not know. Our intention is only to remind the public and friends who might not know how important it is to watch the lines when parking. I hope people can be more conscious of their actions and continue helping those in need.‎
