Most of us can only see polar bears on TV or in pictures. But Luke, a 14-year-old boy, makes friends with the cute animal!
In the ice fields of Northern Canada, Luke finds a little polar bear called Nanuk. The bear can't find its mother. So Luke wants to help it. Muktuk is an Inuit(因纽特人) guide, and he knows where the polar bear lives. He agrees to help Luke. However, a floating(漂浮的) iceberg(冰山) divides them. Luke has to protect himself and the bear from the dangers of the wild.
This is the story of a movie called Midnight Sun(《北极大冒险》). It was released(发行) in Chinese cinemas on December 30.It is from British-Canadian director Roger Spottiswoode, who is best known for the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies.
As you can imagine, it is not easy to shoot a movie in such an icy environment. Canadian actor Dakota Goyo, 14, plays the boy. Due to cold weather, he got injured and couldn't even say some of his lines(台词).The cute polar bear Nanuk was born in China. It flew in an airplane for 45 hours from Beijing to Canada.

Trinity Faith Moran, the 11-year-old fifth grader who stole the spotlight at Naeem Khan Fall 2016 Runway Show, has died.
Stylish Mary Alice Stephenson, who worked with Khan to dress Trinity for the catwalk, announced the sad news on Instagram.
“My heart is broken. It is with great sorrow that I share this news with you today. My beautiful, inspiring friend and shining light Trinity passed away,” read Stephenson's caption. “She went to heaven two weeks ago after a very brave battle.”
In 2016, among all the models wearing super-sparkly dresses in Naeem Khan Fall 2016 fashion show, one new face stood out:Trinity Faith Moran. That's because at the age of 11, Trinity was much younger than the standard runway model. She was also not a professional!
Trinity suffered from a kind of life-threatening cancer, but she wasn't letting that hold her back from pursuing a career in fashion.
“A lot of people told me that I'm really pretty and that I should be a model sometime, so I decide to make it my wish,” Trinity said.
“She loves fashion very much, and the designer got down on the floor with her, listened to her and started sketching ideas,” Kimberly Rasmus, Trinity's mother, said. “They drew three different designs together and talked about what would look good on her. It was beyond our wildest dreams.”
