Hello, everyone!
As is known to all, Singapore is a country called “Garden City”. It has beautiful environment, clean water and fresh air. So I went there for vacation in July, 2016. It was really an unforgettable vacation because of something. Let me tell you why.
Everywhere in Singapore are signs of all kinds. Almost all of them are written in English, but when it comes to “No Spitting” and “No Smoking” and so on, they are
written in Chinese! First I was a little surprised and confused（疑惑的），then I felt angry and at last I felt deeply ashamed（耻辱）. I think when any Chinese sees these signs, they will feel unhappy and ashamed. But after that, don’t we think that it is because of ourselves?

Boluo government has called on the citizens to do something for creating a civilized city. I think it is really a good idea to create a civilized city because it will make our living place better.
Have you ever seen someone throw rubbish away though there is a trash bin near them? And some people often cross the road when the traffic lights are still red.
The city is our home. Why don’t we do something to make it better though it is a simple thing? Firstly, we can be a volunteer to help clean our city or run our traffic if we have free time. Secondly, we can do some simple things to make a difference, such as picking up the rubbish that we see on the road, turning off the lights when we don’t need them, obeying
the traffic rules all the time.
It is clear that a civilized city is everyone’s dream. Let’s try our best to do better in environment to leave better impressions on others.
