1．height n．身高；高度
height的具体用法：
(1)height是high的名词形式。询问某人的身高或某物的高度是多少时，常用what来提问，而不用how much或how many。如：
What's your height?
你身高多少？
What's the height of the building?
那栋建筑有多高？
(2)height可与介词in连用，常用于描述某人或某物高度的句子中，其结构为： sb./sth.＋be＋数字＋meters/feet in height，此时，in height相当于形容词tall。如：
She is 1.7 meters in height.
＝She is 1.7 meters tall.
她身高一米七。
2．heavy adj．重的
heavy 的具体用法：
(1)修饰人时，意为“胖的；重的”。用fat表达人胖是不礼貌的，委婉的说法是用heavy。其反义词为thin(瘦的)。
(2)修饰物时，意为“沉的；重的”。其反义词为light(轻的)。
(3)heavy还有“大(量)的；猛烈的”之意，用来表示雨或雪很大。其副词形式为heavily。

glasses为glass的复数形式，意为“眼镜”。

【拓展】glass的具体用法：
(1)表示“一副眼镜”时用a pair of glasses, 但如果a/this pair of glasses作主语时，谓语动词用单数。
(2)意为“玻璃”时，为不可数名词。
(3)意为“玻璃杯”时，为可数名词，其复数形式为glasses。
4．a little 一点；少量
a little 的具体用法：
(1)意为“有点儿”。相当于a bit，修饰形容词或副词，在句中作状语。
(2)还可以修饰不可数名词，意为“一点儿”。

1．What does he look like?
他长什么样？
这个句型用来询问人的外貌特征，其结构为： What＋ do/does＋sb.＋look like？意为“某人长什么样？”。
【辨析】look like和be like
两者都有“看起来像”的意思，但也有一些区别。
(1)look like指人的外观或外貌。
(2)be like既可指人的性格、品行，也可指人的外貌、长相。
2．Are you going to the movie tonight?
今晚你去看电影吗？
这是“be＋动词－ing形式”的结构，表示将要发生的动作。在英语中，适合这种用法的动词主要是一些表示位置转移的动词，如go, come, leave, drive, move等。

【辨析】may be和maybe
