In order to fight against the virus, the students in China have to study at home on computers instead of going to school. As for online teaching, it has two sides. On the one hand, it not only can save time so that we can do more other things like taking up new hobbies, but also can be convenient for our daily life and study. On the other hand, online teaching will increase the time length of facing the computer, which will be harmful to our health. Moreover, it’s short of learning atmosphere to study online. Last but not the least, some students may cheat in class. While having class, they are playing computer games at the same time! As for me, I prefer to study in classroom because I really miss my teachers and classmates. And it really makes me feel uncomfortable when I sit in the same way studying on computers without moving. Sometimes the network signal is so weak that it drives me crazy! That’s why I’m not a fan of online teaching. 听力录音稿 Text 1 W: Great party, isn’t it? M: Yeah, it is. Jill always has great parties. By the way, I’m Rob. I work with Jill. W: Nice to meet you, Rob. I’m Liz. Jill and I grew up together. Text 2 M: Is it your birthday? That’s a nice new dress! W: No, it isn’t. I won the math contest, remember? My mum bought me this dress as a gift We’re having a special family dinner tonight. Text 3 W: So, you’re from the state of Minnesota? M: Yes. “The Land of Ten Thousand Lakes.” W: Oh? Are there really ten thousand lakes in Minnesota? M: There are more. In fact, there are officially eleven thousand eight hundred and forty-two! Text 4 M: I’m afraid I asked for it rare, but this steak is virtually well done. W: Sorry, sir. I’ll bring you another one as quickly as possible. Text 5 W: I think computer games are bad for kids. I mean, they spend all day staring at the screen, rather than playing with friends. M: I don’t think so. They can learn a lot by playing these things too, you know. W: Anyway, I think it’s better to watch TV or surf the Internet. Text 6 W: I need to get a book for my vacation. Have you read anything good lately? M: I just read a great history book. It had lots of good information. As a matter of fact, I bought it on that website you’re looking at. Do you want to borrow it for your trip? W: Uh, thanks anyway. I want something fun to read on the beach. M: Oh, look. It says “Click here for novels”. I bet you’ll find something fun there. W: Oh, wow, science fiction! This is what I’m talking about. I love science fiction. Text 7W: Hi, Tim. You look sad. Tell me what happened. M: First, my brother woke me up really early. Then my dad accidentally poured tea all over my homework. I was late for school this morning, and I got in trouble with my teacher. The day has got to get better. We still have many classes in the afternoon. W: Aww, it will. Coome on. Let’s go to lunch. Then we can let the audience in. W: Good. Can you make sure the VIPs are seated first? M: No problem. W: Also, can you make sure the stage is covered with a red carpet? M: Don’t worry about it. It’s all taken care of. Text 9 M: Hey, how was your trip to England? W: Well, it was certainly a trip I’ll remember, unfortunately.. M: Unfortunately? Why unfortunately? W: Well, if something could go wrong, it did. M: Like what? W: Oh, it was awful. It started in New York. First, our plane arrived late coming into New York, so we missed the plane----our connecting flight to London! We finally got on the plane the next day and made it to England. Well, the next morning, we got up early and took a taxi to Buckingham Palace. Then we walked to see Trafalgar Square. M: Yeah. I hear that’s wonderful. W: I wouldn’t know. It was completely closed! They were filming a movie, and you couldn’t get anywhere near the square. M: That’s too bad. Well, what’s next? W: I’ve always wanted to see Stonehenge, the very large stones set in a circle. They had special meaning for people thousands of years ago. M: Hmm. Interesting. W: We took a bus tour to get there. We left really early in the morning and guess what! M: What? W: It rained all day. We were feeling pretty down. We couldn’t take any pictures at all. M: Stop! I can’t hear any more! You poor thing! Text 10 M: Good afternoon, everybody. It’s been a pleasure to be invited here. Many people say I’m successful as a film director. But I can still remember the very first time I went to the cinema. It was a Saturday morning and my parents were chatting over breakfast about how they’d spent the previous evening. They were talking about the films. I was fascinated. I was about five years old and until that day, I had never seen a film. I hadn’t even heard of television. In fact, we didn’t even have a telephone in our house. Our only contact with the outside world came from the radio in the sitting room. I started asking my father to take me to see a film. I think he felt a bit guilty because they’d left me with a babysitter the night before. Anyway, whatever the reason, he took me to the cinema that very afternoon. The size of it amazed me, and I love the atmosphere immediately. When the curtains closed and lights went down, I couldn’t believe my eyes. There was the screen, with huge close-ups of the characters. There were sudden changes of scenes that took my breath away, and the action that was shown from many different angles. These days film scenes only last a few seconds and are filled with special effects. In those days one scene could last for several minutes. And of course the sets were very basic, if you compare them to today’s. But the performances the actors gave were wonderful. I had nvever experienced anything like it and I loved the cinema from that point on. And, no, I can’t remember what the film was called.
