Teaching Aims:
引导学生熟练使用How much 引导的特殊疑问句询问价格(How much questions),同时使学生能正确使用指示代词(this/that/those/these)指代物体(Demonstrative pronouns)。

Step I. Teaching Aims:

Step II. Review
1. Lead the students to ask about prices according to the pictures showing on the PPT. While the Ss give answers, write some of them on the Bb.
Eg: ①--How much is the hat?—It’s five dollars.
②--How much are these socks-They’re two dollars.
2. The teacher choose several paris of sentences which focus on asking and answering prices and ask students to list them into two groups according to single or plural forms.

语法小结:
“the”意为_________________________,既可以修饰可数名词单数又可以修饰可数名词复数以及不可数名词。
this, that, these,those 为指示代词,其中________和_________用来修饰可数名词单数以及不可数名词,_______和________用来修饰可数名词复数。
Step VI. Exercise
1. Ask the Ss to finish sentences in 3b. First, lead the Ss look at the pictures first. Then let the Ss do the rest five alone. For No.4, 5and 6, lead students to use different pronouns(this, that, these, those)
2. Check the Ss’ answers.
3. Oral practice
Student A, look at the pictures in 3b for a minute and then close books. Student B ask auestions. Then change roles.
Eg.
B: How much are the socks?
A: Umm, they’re three dollars.
4. Now we are shopping at Mr Cool’s clothes store.Let’s make a conversation. Students do it in groups of four.One student is the salesman or saleswoman, the other three play roles of customers.Then ask several groups to show their conversations.
Step VII. Summary
Lead the Ss to have a summary about How much questions and pronouns.

Ask students to use key structures to make sentences .
