( Ask them to search some information about UNICEF before the class.) ‎ ‎(2) Show some pictures about the work that UNICEF does around the world to make children’s lives better.‎ Step2. Read and listen:‎ ‎1.Let’s read a short passage about UNICEF and answer the questions .‎ ‎(1)When was UNICEF set up ?‎ ‎(2)What changed children’s lives that time ?‎ ‎(3) How many countries and areas does UNICEF work in?‎ ‎2.Listen to the tape and put the sentences into the correct order in Part A2.‎ ‎3.Listen to it again so that students can check their answers.‎ ‎4.Ask students to read the sentences.‎ ‎5.Ask students to read the information in Part A1&A2 then answer the questions.‎ ‎(1) What is the charity called?‎ ‎(2) When was it set up?‎ ‎(3) Why was it set up?‎ Talk about UNICEF .‎ ‎(1)It was set up in 1946.‎ ‎(2)The war changed children’s lives .‎ ‎(3)It works in over 190 countries and areas 2‎ 教 学 内 容 ‎ 个案调整 教师主导活动 学生主体活动 ‎5.Complete Daniel’s report in A4 then read it together.‎ ‎6.Explain the notes:‎ ‎(1) be set up ‎(2) make the world a better place for sb.‎ ‎(3) raise money by doing sth.‎ Step3.Learn the dialogue in Part B.‎ ‎1.Listen and read in pairs.‎ ‎2.Important sentences : ‎ ‎(1)What’s the matter?‎ ‎(2)How long have you felt like this ?‎ ‎(3)Take this medicine after meals three times a day .‎ ‎(4)You will be right in a few days .‎ ‎3.Act (1) Ask students to make their own conversations using the conversation as a model.‎ ‎(2) Ask a few pairs to present their conversation to the class.‎ Step3.Extension:‎ ‎1.
