Teaching procedures A Personal pronouns (subject form)‎ Step 1 Lead-in Read a passage and find the personal pronouns in it. ‎ T: Hello, boys and girls. Yesterday we learned Reading ‘Welcome to our school’. Do you still remember what the name of Millie’s school is? Yes, it’s Sunshine‎ ‎Middle School. Now Millie is telling us about her school life. Let’s read this passage. Pay attention to these circled words. Do you know what they are? Actually we have a special name for these words. We call them “personal pronouns”. In English, we can use personal pronouns to replace nouns for people or things. Then we do not need to repeat the nouns. Today we are going to learn more about personal pronouns—the subject form and the object form. Let’s start form the subject form.‎ ‎【设计意图】本单元的主题是Welcome to our school,学生在上一课时刚学完有关Millie学校的文章,本节课通过一段关于Millie学校生活的文本,在学生熟悉的语篇中引起学生对文本中人称代词的注意,快速的导入到本节课的教学内容。‎ Step 2 Presentation ‎1. Present the subject form with some pictures ‎ (1) Show Picture 1.‎ It is our school. I work here.‎ ‎ You study here. We love our school.‎ T: What’s this? Do you know the place? Yes. It is our school. I work here. What about you? You study here. Do you love your school? We love our school.‎ ‎ (2) Show pictures 2 and 3.‎ He is your Maths teacher. She is your Chinese teacher. They are good teachers. ‎ T: Look at this picture. Who is this man? He is your Maths teacher. What about this woman? She is your Chinese teacher. They are good teachers.‎ 4‎ ‎2. Explain how to use the subject form of personal pronouns T: Boys and girls. Let’s look at these red words. They are the subjects of each sentence, so we ‎ call them the subject form of personal pronouns. When do we use the subject form? Please ‎ discuss with your partner.‎ ‎3. Fill in the table ‎ ‎ 第一人称 第二人称 第三人称 Singular ‎(单数)‎ I ‎ you he she it Plural (复数)‎ we you they they they ‎【设计意图】以单元主题为背景,和学生以简单的问答形式向学生呈现人称代词在句中做主语的情况,并让学生自己讨论总结何时用人称代词的主格。‎ Step 3 Practice ‎1. Complete the conversation on P35 and check the answers. ‎ T: Millie and her mother are in the classroom now. Please complete their conversation with the correct personal pronouns.‎ ‎2. Read the conversation in pairs T: Now please read the conversation with your partner. One reads Millie and the other reads Mum.‎ ‎【设计意图】利用书上的练习来进行操练学生对人称代词主格在具体语境中的灵活运用。‎ B Personal pronouns (object form)‎ Step 1 Presentation ‎1. Present the subject form with some pictures. ‎ T: Just now we learned the subject form of personal pronouns. Now let’s take a look at the object form.‎ ‎ (1) Show Picture 1‎ It is beautiful. We like it very much.‎ T: It is our school. Is it beautiful? Do you like it?‎ ‎ (2) Show Picture 2‎ ‎ I teach English here. Students like to speak English with me.‎ T: What subject do I teach? Do you like to speak English?‎ ‎ (3) Show Picutre 3 and 4.‎ ‎ He is our Maths teacher. We call him Mr. Chen.‎ ‎ She is our Chinese teacher. We call her Miss. Zhou.‎ ‎ They are good to us. We all like them.‎ ‎ T: He is our Maths teacher. What do you call him?‎ ‎ She is our Chinese teacher. What do you call her?‎ ‎ Are they good to you? Do you like them?‎ 4‎ T: Boys and girls. Look at these red words. We know they are the subjects of each sentence and we call them the subject form of personal pronouns. What about these blue words? They are the objects. Do you know what we call them? We call them the object form of personal pronouns.‎ ‎2. Explain how to use the subject form of personal pronouns.‎ T: We have six sentences here. Please find out the object forms.‎ ‎ All my friends are very great. I love them very much. ‎ My school is very big. I love it very much. ‎ Eddie is my dog. I walk him every day. ‎ Your mum is right. You should listen to her. ‎ They are lovely. I will buy them for you. ‎ Would you please give her a cake?‎ T: Why do we use the object forms here? Please discuss with your partner and find out when we ‎ use the object form.‎ ‎3. Fill in the table.‎ ‎ ‎ 第一人称 第二人称 第三人称 Singular ‎(单数)‎ me you him her it Plural ‎ ‎(复数)‎ us you them them them ‎【设计意图】利用同一个语境,依旧以简单的问答形式向学生呈现人称代词在句中做宾语的情况,让学生在熟悉的语境和简单的句子中感知人称代词主格和宾格的区别,并让学生自己找出宾格并发现和总结人称代词宾格的用法。‎ Step 2 Practice ‎1. Complete the conversation on P36 and check the answers. ‎ T: Daniel is talking to his grandfather on the phone. Complete their conversation with the correct personal pronouns.‎ ‎2. Read the conversation ‎【设计意图】利用书上的练习来进行操练学生对人称代词宾格在具体语境中的灵活运用。‎ Step 3 Summary ‎1. Make a summary T: Boys and girls, today we learned something about personal pronouns. Do you still remember the two kinds of personal pronouns? What are they? When do we use the subject form and when do we use the object form?‎ ‎2. Fill in the table 4‎ ‎ ‎ ‎【设计意图】教授完人称代词的主格和宾格后,再次呈现课堂开始的树形教学内容,让学生自己整理归纳今天所学的内容,对其做一个总结,并完成含有人称代词所有主格和宾格形式的表格,加深其对教学内容的记忆。‎ Step 4 Consolidation ‎1. Fill in the blanks.‎ T: Here is a picture of our singing club. Now please fill in the blanks with correct personal pronouns we learned today.‎ This is a picture of our singing club.
