Step 1 Lead-in
T: What do you think of our school life? Is it interesting? On Monday afternoon, there is a special lesson about students’ community groups. Please enjoy some pictures and talk about them.

Step 1 Listening

How do Chinese celebrate the Chinese New Year?
4. Read the poster and answer some questions
We do lots of interesting things during the Chinese New Year. Do you know how people in Chinatown celebrate the festival? Please open your books, and turn to page 63. Here is a poster to help you. Read it by yourselves and answer some questions.
Questions: (1) What do people do to celebrate the Chinese New Year?

(3) What can they watch on that day?
(4) When and where do they have the party?
5. Listen and fill in the table (Part A1 and A2)
Listen to the host and complete the table. While listening, please pay attention to the time and place. Are you ready?
