Teaching contents New phrases: thank you/thanks for sth./doing sth.; have (lots of/great) fun doing sth./have a good time doing sth.; on + a certain day; dress/dress up (as …)/ wear/put on; give sb. sth./give sth. to sb.; give sb. a treat; play a trick on III. Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty ‎1. Grasp the usage of new expressions;‎ ‎2. Use useful expressions to talk about favourite festivals.‎ IV. Teaching procedures Step 1 Revision T: When is Halloween? What activities do people usually do on Halloween? Look at the pictures. (Review the phrases while talking about the pictures.) ‎ dress up wear masks ‎ paint their faces make pumpkin lanterns play a game with the people inside knock on the door ‎ shout “trick or treat” give us some candy as a treat ‎ play a trick on a special day ‎ Thank you for doing sth. tell sb. about sth. ‎ like … best /most have lots of fun enjoy nice food and drinks T: Read these phrases and have a test.‎ ‎【设计意图:结合图片帮助学生复习短语,用中文翻译英文的测试方式帮助学生巩固重点短语。】‎ Step 2 Language points T: How much do you know about Wendy’s letter?
