Step 1 Revision
T: Boys and girls, we’ve learned twelve vowels. I’m sure you can read them correctly. Do you want to have a try?

Step 2 Presentation

1. Get the vowels
Read the following words and try to get the vowels. (page 65)

2. More examples
Read some words, phrases and sentences about /eɪ/, /aɪ/, /ɔɪ/, /əʊ/ and /aʊ/.
T: I’d like to show you the vowels. Would you please read some words, phrases or sentences with the vowels /eɪ/, /aɪ/, /ɔɪ/, /əʊ/ and /aʊ/?

6. Do they have the same vowels?
T: Do the two words have the same vowels? You can do it like this: may /eɪ/, night /aɪ/. They are different.

T: Match the following words with the sounds of their letters.

8. Say the rhyme
T: You have known a lot about the vowels. Here are some sentences. Please complete them with one suitable word. Pay attention to the rhyme.
