Unit 9 My favorite subject is science 一、教学目标:‎ 知识与技能:‎ ‎1、掌握词汇:‎ ‎(1) school subjects: science, math, music.‎ ‎(2) adjectives of quality: interesting, relaxing.‎ ‎2、掌握句式:‎ ‎(1) ——What’s your favorite subject?‎ ‎——My favorite subject is ...‎ ‎(2) ——Why do you like ...?‎ ‎——Because it’s ...‎ 过程与方法:‎ ‎1、设疑激趣,通过图片和视频激发学生的兴趣和求知欲,引导学生主动探索知识。‎ ‎2、通过听力练习获取有用信息,练习目标单词和句型。‎ 情感态度价值观:‎ 通过互相询问和谈论彼此所喜欢的学科,可以增进同学之间的了解和友情并培养学生热爱学习、热爱科学的思想和良好的学习、生活习惯。‎ 二、教学重点与难点:‎ ‎1、掌握目标词汇和短语,掌握重点句子。‎ ‎2、掌握句型What’s your favorite…?‎ 三、教学准备:‎ ‎1、多媒体课件。‎ ‎2、录音机。‎ 教学过程 学生活动 设计意图 Step 1: Greetings Greet the students as usual.‎ Step 2: Presentation 向老师表示问候。进入课堂。‎ 7‎ 教师问学生现在学习的学科有哪些,让学生列举出来,从而引出各学科的名称,最后总结一下。‎ ‎1. 写出至少6个关于学科的词。‎ ‎2. 搜集文中出现的形容词。 ‎ For example:‎ T:Class!How many subjects are you learning now?What subjects are they?‎ S1:We are learning Chinese,math,English...‎ S2:And science,music,history...‎ Then call some other students to have a supplement. In the end,let the the students give a summary.‎ Step 3: Practice 教师问学生是否能准确流利地读出‎1a中的单词,找几名学生朗读一遍。对于读错的单词,教师纠正其发音错误,并领读两遍。然后让全班同学齐读两遍。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!Can you read the words in ‎1a correctly?‎ Then call some individuals to read.‎ S1:P.E.,art,science,music,math,Chinese,geography,history.‎ S2:P.E.,art,science,music,math,Chinese,geography,history.‎ Then the teacher corrects their pronunciation mistakes,and then has a leading reading.‎ In the end,let all the students read the words collectively.‎ ‎1. Watch a short video of different subjects and get the students to say what they are.‎ ‎2. Show the pictures of different subjects and practice the dialogues:‎ ‎(1) ——What’s your favorite subject?‎ ‎——My favorite subject is ...‎ 讨论自己学习过的科目,把他们列举出来,用英语来表达他们。‎ 读1a里的单词,弄懂他们的意思,完成1a的配对练习。‎ 齐读单词。‎ 读下面的对话,两人一组进行练习。‎ 从学生的日常生活出发,引入这个单元的话题—学习科目。‎ 提高瞬间记忆单词的能力。‎ 加深单词的印象,这些是这节课主要用到的单词,让学生多重复,以便在短时间内记住他们的意思。‎ 7‎ ‎(2) ——Why do you like ...?‎ ‎——Because it’s ...‎ Step 4: Pair work 教师让学生大声读一遍听力原文,问学生是否有不理解的地方。如果有,教师给予点拨讲解。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!Please read the listening text aloud.‎ Then let the students read for some time.‎ T:Class!Do you have anything that you don't understand?‎ If they have,have a brief explanation.‎ 让学生熟读几遍1b中的对话,找几名学生朗读对话,看看读得怎么样。‎ ‎1. Get the students to practice the dialogue in pairs.‎ ‎2. 询问最喜欢的事情,用favorite。‎ ‎3. 最喜欢的,除了favorite,我们还可用短语like ... best。‎ What subject do you like best? 你最喜欢的是什么学科?‎ Why do you like English best? 为什么你最喜欢英语?‎ Step 5: Practice 教师让学生自己熟读几遍对话,然后让学生两人合作表演对话。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!First,please read the conversations aloud by yourselves. Next,please practice performing the conversations in pairs. Then I'll call some of you to act out.‎ S1:What's your favorite subject?‎ S2:My favorite subject is...‎ S1:Why do you like...?‎ S2:Because it's...‎ T:Class!Can you make a similar dialogue in pairs?Then I'll call some of you to act out.‎ 听录音,完成1b的练习。然后练习1b的对话,如果有不理解的地方,可以向老师提问。‎ ‎ ‎ 记笔记,弄清楚favorite这个重点单词的用法。‎ 先练习课本上的对话,然后两人一组编写新的对话,进行练习。 ‎ 完成听力练习,再现单词,并引入这节课的句型。两人一组进行对话练习,掌握目标句型的构成。‎ 不断重复这节课的重点单词和句型,让学生牢固地记住他们。自己编写对话,就是检查学生对单词和句型的掌握情况。‎ 7‎ Then let the students work in pairs to make a dialogue.‎ S1:What's your favorite subject?‎ S2:My favorite subject is...‎ S1:Why do you like...?‎ S2:Because it's...‎ Step 6: Listening ‎1. 教师通过提问方式,复习上节课所学的内容。然后告诉学生将进行一次听力测试,让学生听2a的录音,以检验学生对刚才提问内容的掌握程度。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!What's your favorite subject?‎ S1:My favorite subject is...‎ T:Why do you like...?‎ S1:Because it's...‎ T:Class!Now,have you grasped all the sentences above?Let's have a listening test.‎ Then get to ‎2a.Let the students listen and put the conversation in order.‎ After listening,check the answers to see how well they did.‎ ‎2. 教师问学生是否喜欢某些学科以及喜欢或不喜欢的原因。在学生回答原因时,引导学生尽量使用更多的描述性词语。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!Do you like science?‎ S1:Yes,I do.‎ T:Why do you like it?‎ S1:Because it's very interesting.‎ T:Do you like math?‎ S2:No,I don't.‎ T:Why don't you like it?‎ 听录音,完成2a的听力练习,‎ 核对答案。‎ 听录音,完成1b的练习,这个练习的重点放在这些形容词上。‎ 注意because这个连词的用法。‎ 在听之前,先让学生讨论自己喜欢的科目和不喜欢的科目,并说清原因,目的是复习形容词的用法,用他们来描述对不同学科的看法。‎ 7‎ S2:Because it's very difficult.‎ ‎3.教师问学生是否会用这些词语来描述学科,问学生这些是什么词,从而引出形容词这一概念。然后过渡到2b,听录音,配对。‎ ‎4. 教师让学生自己熟读几遍对话,然后让学生两人合作练习对话。最后找几组学生在课上进行表演。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!First,please read the conversations aloud by yourselves. Next,please practice performing the conversations in pairs. Then I'll call some of you to act out.‎ Step 7: Group work Work in groups and practice the dialogue like this:‎ A: What’s your favorite subject? ‎ B: Science.‎ A: Why do you like science?‎ B: Because it’s interesting.‎ Step 8: Pair work ‎1.教师先问学生今天过得怎么样,过渡到问最喜欢一周中哪一天以及为什么喜欢,然后再问最喜欢什么学科,继而问这一学科的老师是谁,什么时候上这一学科。通过这一系列提问,引出下一步要学的新句型。对这些新句型进行简要的点拨和讲解。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!How is your day?‎ Ss:It's OK.‎ T:What's your favorite day?‎ S1:My favorite day is Monday.‎ T:Why do you like Monday?‎ S1:Because I have P.E. and science on Monday.‎ T:What's your favorite subject?‎ 两人一组进行对话练习。并在课堂上进行展示。‎ 引入下面对话的主要内容,讨论自己最喜欢的一天,为什么喜欢那一天,跟那个科目有关。‎ 两人一组进行对话练习。‎ 重复练习对话,多使用不同的学科名词和形容词。‎ 引导学生说出自己喜欢的一天,那一天有什么科目是自己喜欢的。‎ 7‎ S2:My favorite subject is science.‎ T:When is your science class?‎ S2:It's on Monday and Friday.‎ T:Who is your science teacher?‎ S2:My science teacher is Mr.Hu.‎ ‎2. 学生两人一组练习这些句型。找几组学生表演练习。‎ ‎3.让学生根据自己所在学校和班级的真实情况,模仿2d对话的内容,与同伴合作编个新对话并表演。‎ For example:‎ T:Class!Can you make a new similar conversation according to your reality?‎ Then let the students work in pairs.
