I prefer music that has great lyrics.我更喜欢歌词好的音乐。
prefer作动词,相当于like better,后面可跟名词、动名词或不定式作宾语,它的过去式、过去分词均为preferred,现在分词为preferring。
e.g.He always prefers staying at home.他一向比较喜欢待在家里。
其常见搭配形式有:
(1)prefer…to…意为“喜欢……胜过……”这里的to为介词,prefer与to的后面可分别接名词、代词或动名词。
e.g.He prefers red to blue.他喜欢红色胜过蓝色。
e.g.Bob and I prefer skating to swimming.我和Bob更喜欢滑冰而不是游泳。
(2)prefer to do sth.更喜欢做,宁愿做。
e.g.She prefers to finish the task herself.她宁愿自己完成任务。
其否定形式为prefer not to do sth.
(3)prefer to do…rather than do…相当于would rather do…than do…意为“宁愿做……而不愿做……”这里的to为动词不定式符号,后接动词原形。

(4)prefer sb.to do…意为“宁愿,更希望某人做……”
