一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Warming up
We have learnt the story The Fisherman and the Goldfish in last lesson.Which characters in the play do you like?Which do you dislike?Why?The fisherman’s wife asked for a new house.Can you guess what will happen in this lesson?Let’s see.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Step 2:Presentation
1.让学生用英语陈述上节课中两幅场景中发生的故事内容。
2.教师用第三人称形式,讲述故事的结尾。
Step 3:Listening
Books closed!The students listen to the tape carefully,then read loudly,do Exercise 1 in “Let’s Do It!”
Keys:To be a beautiful lady.
Everything was taken away.
Three times.
设计意图:把练习中的阅读理解,改为听力训练题目,本课对话内容大意学生较熟悉,因此听力难度不太大。
Step 4:Reading
1.Skimming:read the article quickly and find out what happened at the end of the story.
2.The students read the text carefully by themselves,answer the following questions.
(1)Who wants to have a new house?(The fisherman’s wife.)
(2)Does the wife become happy after she got the house?(No,she doesn’t.)
(3)Does the wife become a rich lady at end of the story?(No.)
3.Give students a few minutes to read the passage:Why the fisherman’s wife is back again?And ask students to work in groups and act out the play.
设计意图:提高学生英语交际能力,培养学生利用脑中构图捕捉文章信息的能力。
Step 5:Explain the language notes of the text to the class
1.look out towards向外面的……看
2.at once立刻,马上
3.She also wants all the fish to serve her.她还想让所有的鱼都服侍她。
此句中to serve her作宾语补足语成分。动词不定式作宾语补足语。能用动词作宾语补足语的动词有:ask,tell,get,order,would like,want,teach,show,allow,encourage,warn,wish,invite,help等。
Step 6:Practice
The students work in pairs.Act out the play.
设计意图:让学生学以致用,因为语言源于生活,不是枯燥乏味一味用来考试的。
三、布置作业
Do Exercise 2、3 in “Let’s Do It!”.
