Mr Robertson was the owner of a large company. One day, he went into his office early in the morning to get ready to go to the airport and set out for a city far away.
He was leaving his office when Bill, a nightwachman(巡夜人), came in. Bill just came off work. After he said “Good morning” to Mr Robertson, Bill told the owner

Jackie Chan was born on April 7th, 1954, in Hong Kong, China. His parents left the mainland of China for Hong Kong a short time before he was born. His parents named him“Chen Gangsheng”, which means“born in Hong Kong”. They wanted to celebrate the safe trip to Hong Kong.

In every country, there are thousands of people who want to help out. Many join organizations run (管理) by their governments, for example, the Peace Corps in the United States and Voluntary Service Overseas in Britain. Since the powerful (猛烈的) earthquake took place in Sichuan, more than 200 thousand volunteers across China have been helping there! They do all kinds of work or come up with ways to help improve life. They think by doing a lot of homework, the students can revise what they have learned. It will also help develop the students’ minds and stop them playing computer games.
But a few parents think too much homework is useless because doing much homework takes a lot of time and students can’t have a good rest. What’s more, they can’t do the things they like.
In my opinion, doing some homework is necessary and helpful. But we shouldn’t be given too much homework. It’s bad for our eyes and health. So doing suitable homework is good for us.
