The opening is a key point in a lecture as here the lecturer often gives an overview of the lecture, saying something about structure as well as content.‎ ‎ In the second part of the unit you will listen to a longer video clip and practice taking notes as you would do if you were physically present at a lecture. Listening and taking notes at the same time is a difficult skill to master and you will be given a few tips to guide you. Then you will have to answer questions on the video clip using your notes to help you.‎ Finally there are some vocabulary exercises.‎
