第四部分 写作
第一节 应用文写作
Dear Harry,
I’m glad to receive your letter. You’ve asked about the influence of the novel coronavirus epidemic on the
learning of us middle school students in China. I’d like to offer some information.
The school openings have been put off without exception and the date when we can return to school hasn’t
been set. Therefore, online education is necessary and popular now. Admittedly, It is really a challenge for us.
First, it is a test of our self-discipline since we have to study alone without our teachers pushing us and without
our peers’ pressure. In addition, it is really tiring for us to stare at the electronic screen all the day, which does
great harm to our eyes. But on the other hand, online learning brings us some convenience as we have access to
more resources. Anyhow, online education is the best alternative now.
I’m confident that I can take advantage of online learning and do my best. Now the epidemic has been well
contained, and the school re-opening is supposed to be on the way. We are looking forward to the day.
Thank you for your concern.
Yours,
Li Hua
第二节 读后续写(满分 25 分)
A possible version:
With a giant tear in her eye, the little girl looked up at him. She managed a forced smile, murmuring
“Thank you, anyway”, and turned toward the doorway. Suddenly Pappy thought of his estranged
daughter. Feeling a lump in his throat, Pappy called out, “How much have you got to spend, Missy?” At
this, the little girl emptied her purse onto the counter — two dollars. After a quick struggle in his mind,
Pappy said, “Today is Christmas Day and this is your lucky day. The bell costs exactly two dollars.”
Holding the special bell close to her chest, the child danced out.
Later that evening when Pappy was closing up the shop, he heard a familiar ringing. He couldn’t
believe his ears! There in the doorway stood the little girl, ringing the bell and smiling sweetly. Puzzled,
Pappy approached her. “Have you changed your mind, little lady?” “No,” the child grinned, “Momma
says the present is for you.” Before Pappy had time to say another word, the child’s mother stepped in.
Holding back her tears, she gently said, “Hello, Dad.”2

W: Good afternoon, shoppers! This is a special request from the security department here at Wal-Mart. We hope
you are finding everything you are looking for, but right now, we need your help. We are looking for a 12-year-old
boy named Brandon McSorley. Brandon, if you can hear this, please go to the security desk. Your mom is looking
for you. All other guests, please take a moment to help us find Brandon. His mother Sally was last with him in the
frozen foods section about 10 minutes ago, and she thinks he is still somewhere in the store, possibly in the toys
section or the sporting goods section. Brandon is wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, white shoes, and a black baseball
cap. He is about 5 feet 2 inches tall with dark hair and blue eyes. If you see Brandon, please help him to get to the
security desk. You can also tell us in time if you see Brandon or have any other information about him. Thank you
very much for your help, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Wal-Mart.
