A watchmaker in Indonesia is using the root of mushrooms as material for making wristwatches. The material mycelium (菌丝)leather, as we know, is strong and movable. It is water-resistant. And, it is considered more environmentally friendly than non — organic material and animal skin.
Erlambang Ajidarma is head of research at Mycotech, in Bandung city. The start-up business supplies mycelium leather to make straps for wristwatches. Ajidarma says his team has been testing several different kinds of mushrooms over the past three years. Finally they found one mushroom with a mycelium that could be made into binding material.
The company grows the mushrooms and then harvests the leather. Then the mushroom is dried and cut up. The process is complex. It takes around three weeks to make 10 square meters of material. But Ajidarma thinks it is worth it. It costs less to make mycelium leather than to make oil-based material.
Actually, the mycelium manufacturing process produces much less carbon dioxide than the manufacturing of leather from cow skin.
Ajidarma's team also uses color-changing ecological substances from fallen leaves, roots and food waste in nature to color the mycelium leather. He says the mushroom leather takes on the color more quickly than leather made from animal skin. The Indonesian watchmaking company Paia Nusantara cuts and puts the leather together into the material for its watches. Nurcholis Irvan recently visited a watch shop in Jakarta. He said he would be “very interested” in buying such a product.
He said, “I would be very interested in a watch made of natural material and plants because I've been allergic to a few that I bought in the past.” The watches cost between $ 64 and $ 93. Most are sold online.

The American spacecraft expected to land on the moon in nearly 50 years will be an unmanned robotic lander. The aerospace company Astrobotic Technology announced it expects to launch the spacecraft named Peregrine in the summer of 2021 from Florida's Cape Canaveral. The company said Peregrine will be the first American spacecraft to land on the moon since Apollo astronauts last touched down there in 1972. The mission will bring technology and experiments to the moon to prepare for human flights by 2024.
The spacecraft will use the Vulcan rocket developed by a union between US aerospace companies Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Tory Bruno is chief executive of the United Launch Alliance (ULA). Bruno said, "Our first flight on Vulcan is also the first big step in going back to the moon."
The Vulcan rocket was selected over the reusable rocket from SpaceX, a company owned by Elon Musk of carmaker Tesla. It is powered by engines from Blue Origin, a company Jeff Bezos of Amazon. Blue Origin also is working on a heavy-lift rocket.
Astrobotic Technology is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is one of nine companies chosen by the American space agency NASA to develop vehicles and technology to explore the lunar surface over the next ten years.

Your Cat's Strange Behaviors Are Explained
●Lying on your stuff means your cat want attention. Do you know that feeling when you're working on your computer, and your cat jumps down directly on top of the keyboard? Your cat is all up in your business because it sees that you're paying more attention to something that is not for it. 36 In this way, it'll get between you and the object that you're using!
●37 Your cat knows its own name, and it knows your voice, but it tends not to answer. This isn't because it doesn't hear you; it's choosing not to respond because it's not interested in seeing you at the moment. Just don't take it personally, it's not out of unkindness, or it's not because it doesn't like you. Instead, it likes your smell. 38
●Rubbing you with its paws is a good thing. An adult cat tends to do the motion when it associates a soft surface, or your body, with that of its mother's. 39 Maybe it does when it feels like it needs to relieve stress.
●Smelling your face doesn't mean it wants to bite you. A cat is suspicious by nature. So, if all of a sudden your cat is in your face, smelling your mouth, nose, hair and skin, don't be too alarmed. Yes, it does feel unusual for an animal to be in your personal place just to smell you out. 40 It wants to make sure you are still you and not some stranger that it doesn't trust.
A. It just wants your attention.
B. This rubbing motion means your cat dislikes you.
C. If your cat is ignoring you, don't take it seriously.
D. However, it is because your cat takes in your unique smell.
E. It rubs when it's feeling happy and content with where it is.
F. It may forget its mother when it stops being nursed from its mother.
G. Your cat will come when it feels the need to seek for affection or to play.

阅读下面短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。
As we know, there exist 61 variety of forces in all aspects of life. Friction is one of the important forces. It is a contact force caused by interactions at the molecular (分子的) level. If friction were not present, any object 62 (push) on a flat surface would continue to move on forever 63 it met a barrier in that surface.
Similarly, without friction, moving would not be possible because we would have no way of 64 (create) contact with any surface. Our 65 (foot) or anything, for that matter, would not hold any surface, but speed across it 66 the direction of the muscle movement.
Situations like these do not arise because there is no such thing as a 67 (complete) frictionless surface. Friction, in terms of how it 68 (use) on the earth, can be very 69 (help) in preventing motion. For example, it helps clean clothes in the washer. Also, it is the force of friction that allows brake pads (垫片) 70 (squeeze) the rotors (转子)of a car's wheel, thus changing the moving energy of the moving vehicle into hot energy, slowing it down.
