作文
Dear Terry,
I’m honored to know that you’ve decided to have a taste of the Dragon Boat Festival in
my city. I’m also more than pleased to reserve a hotel for you in advance. But I need some
details of your travel.
Firstly, when will your flight arrive at the airport? If I’m available then, I will pick you
up. Besides, prices of a hotel room range from RMB399 to 999, so which kind of rooms do
you prefer? And more importantly, how many rooms do you exactly need? Only if I figure out
all of the questions can I make reservations for you.
Please give me more detailed information about your schedule. Looking forward to your
early coming.
Yours sincerely
Li Hua

No dance form can approach gracefulness as closely as the
Russian ballet.
Tango is a partner dance that is associated with style and
expressiveness3
Flamenco is a globally famous dance form that
originated in Spain.
I want a change of pace, a break from routine 及最后一句 we were
both burned out from the constant boredom
Vacation experiences at first glance seem a little difficult
for us. How do you find comfort in an ever-changing environment?
Steven did part-time remote work about 10 hours per
week for his employer from the road. I ended up finding some temporary jobs through the
trip. We also continued our photography business, setting up an online shop to sell our
landscapes.
28. B 细 节 理 解 题 依 据 第 二 段 中 that between 6,000 and 24,000 people are killed by lightning
worldwide each year. The strikes can also cause power outages, destroy property, damage electrical
equipment and start forest fires. For these reasons......
The data related to four main surface conditions: air pressure, air
temperature, relative humidity and wind speed.
The atmospheric data was placed into a machine learning algorithm(算法),
which compared it to records of lightning strikes.
Our method uses data that can be obtained from any weather station," Mostajabi
said." This will improve data collection in very remote areas not covered by radar and satellite or in places
where communication systems have been cut,”he added.
That would make you young, creative, connected, global,
and no doubt smart. 。 More young people than ever volunteer to help their
communities.
Many children born in the 1990s and 2000s
were raised by “helicopter parents”, who were always there to guide and help their children
with a busy schedule filled with homework and after-class activities such as dancing,
drawing, or sports.
So if you're one of the oh-ohs, there are reasons to be
hopeful about the future。

39. E. E 项中的 seeing things written down 与 Keep a notebook 和 use a notebook to catalogue and
process what’s causing you anxiety 相吻合。

Text 1:
M: Will you take those things out of your ears? I’ve been calling you for the last five minutes. Dinner
is ready.
W: OK, Dad. I’m just going to the bathroom to wash my hands. I’ll be there in a minute.
Text 2:
W:Passports, please. What is the purpose of your visit, and how long are you staying?
M:We are just on a family vacation for a week. We’ll be staying at the Marriot Hotel near
Disneyland.
W:OK. Drive safely, sir.
Text 3:
M:Excuse me? I’m trying to find the movie theater. Am I going in the right direction?
W: Yes. You see that McDonald’s on the left side of the road about 100 meters ahead? It is right
across from that, on this side of the road.
Text 4:
W: I can’t believe Jackie told you that. She promised she would never tell anyone.
M: You never should have trusted her in the first place. At least now you know not to tell her any more of
your secrets.
Text 5:
W:We still have some money left from our trip. Do you think we should spend it?
M:I think we should hold on to it. That way, the next time we go there we’ll have some money to
spend.
W:Yeah, you are right.
Text 6.:
W:Hello,I’d like to book an appointment with Dr. Hansen, please.9
M:Sure. Have you been in to see Dr. Hansen before?
W:No, I haven’t yet. But I saw Dr. Evans two weeks ago, (6) and he said since he was going on vacation
for a week, I should see Dr. Hansen instead.
M:I see. And what can I tell him it’s about?
W:It’s an old back injury from two months ago. I just need to refill my prescription.
M:Is 10:30 tomorrow OK?
W: I’ll be at work. Any time after 3:00?
M: 5:15 is the best I can do . Is that all right?(7)
W:That’s perfect. Thank you.(7)
Text 7:
W: I wanted to work as a politician when I was younger.(8) I still love giving speeches, but I’ve
changed my mind now.(8)
M:Why? Did you hear that you needed to work really hard?
W:No, it’s because politicians are always away from their families. I can’t imagine travelling for
months at a time and rarely seeing my son and husband.(8) I don’t know how Jonathan manages to
balance his three kids and his career.
M:I don’t mind travelling away from home now that my son and daughter are older, but Jonathan was
doing that while his kids were still young. They must have been confused at that age.
W: I know they were sad at first, but he was able to see them every night because of video chat programs.
He was able to provide a great life for them because of his work. You should see how they smile when
he appears on TV.(9)
W:Hello, sir. Do you have all your forms and documents with you?
M:Yes, I think so. Here you are.
W:I just need two pieces of ID, but one must have your picture on it.
M:I have a student card and my birth certificate. Will those work?
W:I’m sorry. They both need to be the pieces of identification proved by government. Do you have
anything else?10
M:Oh, yeah. I think I have a health card...here it is. (11)
W:John, Allen Scott?(12) Still living at 2027 Anderson place, and the phone number is 100-0002-26?
M:No changes, except my first name is Allen, not John.(12)
W:I know. I was just reading it as I was tying. On your license, your former name is shown first.
M:Oh, OK.
W:Oh, and you gave us a photo with a blue background. Unfortunately, it needs to be white.
M:Sorry about that.
W:No problem. You can do that here. After you do that, we can give you your temporary driver’s license
and you’ll be on your way.
M:Scarlett Jones, thank you so much for allowing us a few moments to speak with you. I know everyone
on this project is really busy right now.(13)
W:Yes. We all have very strict work schedules, and sometimes we only get three of four hours of sleep per
night.
M:The studio hasn’t yet let out any of the details for the approaching season. I know you’re not
allowed to talk about it (13), but maybe instead you could tell us about a typical day for you.
W:Well, we wake up at 6:00 every morning. Then we have breakfast and we get our make-up done.(14)
On most days, that takes at least a couple of hours.
M:That long?
W:Oh, yes. Then we usually practice out fighting techniques for the action scenes for another hour
or so.(14) After that, we meet for another two hours to read our lines and receive instruction from the
writers and the directors.
M:That’s already a busier morning than I have. Don’t you get any breaks?
W:We usually have our lunch somewhere between 11:00 and 12:00, because we need to be up in the
mountains no later than noon.
M:Doesn’t it feel strange that it is June back home, but here you are in winter temperatures.(15)
W:It does,(15) especially since we started doing this in November. So when you think about it, I’ve had
an eight-month winter.11
Text 10.
I drove the long, five-hour journey back from Springfield to Summerland with the window down
the whole way. (17) I even kept it open when I passed through the smelly farming community of
Greenville. It was the last community before my hometown, and the smell reminded me of my
childhood. (17) In my two year of university, I hadn’t returned home once. So, you can imagine how
excited I was to see all the old familiar buildings. Excitement turned to shock when I passed the first
signs into town.(18) The old shopping village that used to be the heart of our community was gone.
Mr.Berry’s fruit stand was gone, as was Mr. Burns’ barbershop. Even Mrs. Thorn’s flower shop was
nowhere to be found. She was such a nice lady. I used to love our conversations. Now, in their place
stood a huge apartment building.(18) I hoped all the friendly shop owners from my youth were OK.
My worries soon disappeared when I stopped for gas and ran into Mr. Pump. He told me that
people didn’t want things to change at first.(19) But now, all the local businesses are doing better
than before, and more people are visiting the town. What’s more, he said that Mr. Berry, Mr. Burns, and
Mrs. Thorn still have their shops in a newly-built shopping center! I remember hearing someone once
say that “Progress is impossible without change.” In this case, I think they were right.(20)
