Unit 2   当一个句子充当宾语时,这个句子就称为宾语从句。 宾语从句与主句之间由从属连词来连接。 (1) 由连词 that 引导的宾语从句:   当谓语动词表示肯定的概念,如“希望”“相信”“知道”或“说”时,其后面的句子一般用 that 引导。 that 无意义,可以省略。 eg : 我想他几天后就会好了。 I think (that) he’ll be all right in a few days. 我相信我们会成为好朋友。 I believe (that) we will become good friends. Grammar 宾语从句 (2) 由连接词 if 或 whether 引导的宾语从句:   其中 if/whether 意为“是否;是不是”,宾语从句用陈述语序。 e.g. 我不知道明天天气是否晴朗。 I don’t know if/whether it is fine tomorrow. 你知道他是否会来吗? Do you know if/whether he’ll come? whether 和 if 在从句中不充当任何句子成分,只起连接作用,但不能省略。一般可以通用,但在下列情况下, whether 不可换用 if 。 ①从句中有 or not 时 ; ② 有些动词(如 discuss )后面只能跟 whether; ③ 从句充当介词宾语时 ; ④ 连接词后接不定式时。 1.We are sure that he ______________ (go) to school tomorrow. 2.Our father said that he ________(will) buy a new computer. 3.I hear d that he ________(swim) in the sea yesterday. 4.I asked if he _______ (can) hike to the top of the mountain. 5.I’m not sure whether there _____(be) some animals in the zoo. 一、用所给动词的正确形式填空。 will go/is going Exercises would swam could are 1 .Jane will come to the party on time. Can you tell me __________ the sports meeting ______ for three days? if/whether if/whether are playing lasted 用来表达喜、怒、哀、乐等强烈感情的句子叫感叹句。感叹句一般用 what 或 how 引导,句末用感叹号。 what 修饰名词, how 修饰形容词或副词。 感叹句 what 引导的感叹句 : 1) What + a/ an + adj.   +  可数 名词 单数 (+ 主谓语 )!  e.g. What a brave boy (Tom is)! What an excellent idea (it is)! 2) What + adj.  +  可数名词复数 (+ 主谓语 )!   e.g. What beautiful pictures (they are)! 3) What + adj. + 不可数名词 (+ 主谓语 )!  e.g. What delicious food (it is)! how 引导的感叹句: How +  adj. / adv.  +  主语  +  谓语 !  e.g. How happy the children were! How carefully he is reading!  注意:一般情况下,以 what 和 how 开头 的感叹句可以相互转换,转换后意义不 变。 e.g. What a tall building it is! = How tall the building is!  将下列句子改为感叹句。 1. The girl is very clever. _____ ______ the girl is! 2. It is a wonderful experience. _____ ______ wonderful experience it is! 3. The wind is blowing strongly. _____ _______ the wind is blowing! 4. The news is exciting. _____ _______ news it is! How clever What a  How strongly  What exciting Exercises ◆lay 有两个常见意思:一是表示“放”“摆” ( 及物 ) ,二是表示“下 ( 蛋 )”( 及物或不及物 ) 。 Lay your coat on the bed. 把你的外衣放在床上。 Are your hens laying yet ?你的母鸡下蛋了吗?
