Purpose: Teacher leads in the Tongue twister by free talk with the students. Then show the words that have the sound [ ].
Step2 Learn the sound[ ]and the words
1.Watch the VCD.
Purpose: Let the students learn pronunciation in a vivid situation by using flash.
2.Write down the words on the blackboard.
3.Listen and read.
Lead in: Boys and girls. Please listen carefully. Then read after it.
Purpose: In language learning, listening and repeating the standard pronunciation is very necessary. That can make the students read the words correctly, and help them to read in good pronunciation and intonation.
4.Listen ，point and say
Purpose: Have students read after the tape. Have them point to the book and read. Have them listen to the teacher and say. Check some students’ pronunciation, then point out their errors. All these can make students read the words correctly.
5. Point out “son” and “sun” are homophones

Purpose: Fill in the blanks with the “sun and son”, allow the students to understand the sun and the son are homophones, and understand the

1. Read，write and chant
Purpose: Compiling the words to a rhyme, and allow students remember what they have learned more easily.
2. Read the words
Purpose: List some new words by helping with the phonemes []. Through the demonstration, have students try to say some new words. Students can understand the simple rules and methods of pronunciation, which can help them to develop the ability of reading words.
3.Apple picking（listening exercise）
Purpose: It is useful to stimulate students 'interest in learning English and to develop their listening ability by playing the game.
4.Read and check
Purpose: Improve the ability of students to distinguish different sounds by doing comparison exercises. Students can grasp the basic pronunciation rules.

Purpose: The exercise ② in the student book is the test of phonetic knowledge of this unit. The exercises are a little bit difficult. Have students read and listen correctly with the sentence recording. Also, it’s helpful for the poor students.
Step4 Extension.
1.Show some words: Can you read these new words. Please try your best! Read loudly.

3. Put the words in the right house.
