Step 1.Analysis of the student.
Last term,we learned clothes,color,food,family members.we learned how to describe our feelings,how to order our food,talk about seasons,talk about weather,and so on.
This term ,what we will learn?
In unit one,we will learn the history of China and culture of China-the Silk Road.
Step 2. Lead in.(引入)
Explain the Silk Road in Chinese first,what about the Silk Road,talking about the history of China and culture of China.then we learn the new words.
Step 3. New lesson.(新课)
No. 1 words and phrases:trip, silk ,road ,lead, note ,chance, send,news,guess what,learn about,make the Ss master the new words,read them first,then ask the Ss repeat after me.
No. 2 text: first ,ask some Ss read the text,and make them read in different roles.
And ,ask the Ss read the pictures,let some Ss explain the pictures,what happening in this passage.describe Jenny’s family doing what? Jenny is talking about what with her parents .then,we read this passage together.
We learn the words:trip,Jenny is planning a trip,where will she go?who will she go with?explain the meaning of this passage in Chinese.

No. 2The Terra Cotta Warriors(兵马俑)-秦
兵马俑(Terracotta Army; Terra-cotta Figures; soldier and horse figures)是古代墓葬雕塑的一个类别。古代实行人殉,奴隶是奴隶主生前的附属品,奴隶主死后奴隶要为奴隶主陪葬,是殉葬品。兵马俑即制成兵马(战车、战马、士兵)形状的殉葬品。
in this part of the text,Jenny and Danny travel to the Terra Cotta Warriors.the Terra Cotta Warriors is the famous place of Xi’an.

Lanzhou is provincial capital city for GanSu,兰州,始建于公元前86年。据记载,因初次在这里筑城时挖出金子,故取名金城,还有一种说法是依据“金城汤池”的典故,喻其坚固。两汉、魏晋时在此设置金城县。十六国前凉时又移金城郡治于此。隋开皇三年(公元583年),隋文帝废郡置州,在此设立兰州总管府,“兰州”之称,始见于史册。后来虽然州、郡数次易名,但兰州的建置沿革基本固定下来,相沿至今。
