❶across的用法

辨析across与through
across表示从表面“穿过;越过;(走)过”;through一般指从内部“穿过”。例如:
Walk across the street,and you’ll see it.走过这条街,你就会看到它。
There is a river running through the city.有一条河流经这座城市。
❷in front of的用法
The pay phone is in front of the library. 付费电话在图书馆的前面。(P44)
辨析in front of与in the front of
in front of表示“在……的前面”(某一范围外的前面);in the front of表示“在……的前部”(某一范围内的前部)。例如:
There is a river in front of the house.这座房子前面有一条河。
There is a table in the front of the room.在这个房间前部有一张桌子。
❸spend的用法
I like to spend time there on weekends. 我喜欢在那里度过周末。(P47)
spend的主语通常是人,常用句型:
1.“sb.+spend(s)+时间名词”意为“某人度过……”。例如:
I want to spend my vacation with my parents.我想和我父母一起度假。
2.“sb.+spend(s)+时间/金钱+on sth.”意为“某人在某事/物上花时间/金钱”。例如:
Can you spend 60 yuan on the jacket?你能花60元买这件夹克衫吗?
3.“sb.+spend(s)+时间/金钱+(in) doing sth.”意为“某人花时间/金钱做某事”。例如:
We spend two hours playing sports every day.我们每天花两小时做运动。
❹on the right/left的用法
Then I walk along Bridge Road. The zoo is on the right. 然后我沿着大桥路走。动物园就在右边。(P47)
on the right/left意为“在右/左边”,on one’s right/left意为“在某人的右边/左边”。例如:
There is a bank on the right.右边有一家银行。
Walk down this road and the library is on your left.沿着这条路走,图书馆就在你的左边。
❺enjoy的用法
It is very quiet and I enjoy reading there. 那里非常安静,我喜欢在那里读书。(P47)
