Unit 7 It’s raining Section A ‎ Step 1 Warmingup and leadin Enjoy the music: How's the weather?‎ Step 2 Presentation ‎ ‎1.(Show some pictures of the weather.)‎ Let students look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. ‎ Students learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. ‎ ‎2.Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the left. Ask the students to match the words with the pictures. ‎ ‎3.Check the answers.‎ ‎[答案] (1)a (2)b (3)e (4)c (5)d ‎ Step 3 Game (How's the weather?)‎ ‎1.(Showing some pictures on the big screen.)Ask students “How's the weather?”‎ ‎2.Students guess and answer the questions.‎ Step 4 Listening ‎ ‎1.Look at the city names in the box in 1b. Students read the city names after the teacher. ‎ ‎2.Listen to four conversations. ‎ ‎(1)Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape.‎ ‎(2)Play the recording a second time. Ask students to write the city names in the boxes in 1a.‎ ‎3.Check the answers. ‎ Step 5 Pair work ‎ ‎1.Tell the students: Imagine you are in one of the places in the pictures above, talk about the weather with your friend in another city on the phone. ‎ ‎2.Make a model with a student like this:‎ T: Hi! How's the weather in Beijing?‎ S1: It's sunny. ‎ ‎3.Students work in pairs. Ask and answer questions about the weather in the cities. ‎ Step 6 Homework Remember the words about the weather.‎ 4‎ Step 1 Warmingup and leadin ‎1.Guessing Game: Prepare some cards before class. A student chooses a card and does some actions. Other students guess the weather according to the actions. Then lead to the new lesson.‎ ‎2.Have a dictation: the words about the weather.‎ ‎ Step 2 Listening ‎ Work on 2a.‎ ‎1.Let's see what Joe's family are doing. Point to the 4 pictures. ‎ ‎2.Ask students to tell what each person is doing in each picture. More attentions should be paid to the correct use of the Present Progressive Tense.‎ ‎3.Play the recording for the students to listen and number the pictures [1-4].‎ ‎4.Play the tape again for students to check the answers.‎ ‎[答案] 2, 3, 4, 1 ‎ ‎5. And then act out.‎ Step 4 Roleplay ‎ ‎1.Ask students to read the conversation and answer the questions:‎ ‎(1)What's Steve doing? ‎ ‎(2)What's Rick's brother doing?‎ Students read the conversation and answer the questions.
