(一)【观察】-- How’s the weather in Beijing?
--It’s sunny.
【探究】 1.询问天气：“How’s the weather？”or“What’s the weather like?”
2. weather 是不可数名词，意为“天气；气候”。答语中用it代替天气。
3. sunny用来形容天气。一般情况下在表示天气的名词后加-y, 变为相应的形容词。如果这个单词是重读闭音节结尾，则要双写最后一个字母再加-y.
(二)【观察】Could you just tell him to call me back?

【探究】1. “Could you (please) +V原？” 是表示请求的交际用语。其否定式为“Could you (please) +not +V原？”; 此句中could表示委婉语气。
e.g. Could you please show me the way to the hotel? 你能告诉我去宾馆的路吗？
Could you please not play computer games? 请你不要玩电脑游戏了好吗？
2. tell sb. to do sth. 意为“告诉某人做某事”。

Step1. Warming up and lead in.

Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is.
Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures.
2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures.
