Play the video about the transportation and then show the new words in the video.
Step 2 Listening
Work on 2a.
1.Revise the numbers: first, zero~nine; next, ten~nineteen; then, twenty, thirty, forty…finally, twentyone, twentytwo…
Teach the new word “hundred”.
2.Play the tape for the students to finish 2a. Then play again and check the answers.
Step 3 Presentation
1.Show a picture on the TV and explain these are your home and school.
2.Teach: home→school how long 10 minutes how far two kilometers
3.Then make up a dialogue to practice.
A: How do you get to school?
B: I usually take the bus.
A: How far is it from your home to school?
B: It's about two kilometers.

Step 4 Listening
Work on 2b.
1.Tell students the following recording is about how Tom and Jane go to school.
2.First, listen to the recording to fill in the first column.
3.Then, play the recording for the students again. Students listen and complete the rest of the chart.
4.Check the answers.

(1)How do/does+sb.+get to+sp.?意为“某人怎样去某地?”。
how是疑问副词, 本句中用来提问出行方式。
(2)回答方式有两种:
A: Sb.+take(s)+the+交通工具+to+某地.
B: Sb.+get(s) to+sp.+by+交通工具.
(3)It takes sb. some time to do sth. 意为“做某事花费某人多长时间。”
(4)如果对时间段提问的话,用句型“How__long+does it take sb. to do sth.?”

对两地间的距离提问用句型:“__How__far__+is it from+sp.+__to+sp.?”
