Step 1 Warmingup and revision

1.Show the picture in 1a, and ask the students:

S: He's running.
T: Where is he running?
S: He's running in the hallways.
T: Can you run in the hallways?
S: No, we can't.
T: So please don't run in the hallways.

2.Look at the picture on your textbook. Each of the students is breaking one of these rules. Please finish 1a.

4.Read the sentences together. Make sure all the students understand them.

2.Students discuss the pictures and make some rules.
3.Let some students read their rules aloud.
4.Check the answers with the class.

1.Use the words to make questions about the rules. Then write answers according to your school. e.g.:

(注意: have to虽是情态动词,但应借助助动词do或does来构成一般疑问句;而情态动词can则直接提前构成一般疑问句。)
2.Students work by themselves and try to write the sentences on the workbook.
3.Students work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions.
Step 5 Game
1.Everybody has a dream school. Suppose you're the headmaster of the Coolest School. You can make rules for your school. Make up five cool rules for your dream school.
2.Students work in groups and discuss what rules are in their school.
3.Write down their rules.
