(2018·山东青岛市北期末改编)Mobike was first put into use in Shanghai in April, 2016 before entering the Beijing market in September. It has spread to other cities. It encourages people to ride the publicsharing bike over short distances, and its aim is to solve the“last mile” problem in big cities.
Many people ride a Mobike for a short trip, such as from home to the subway, from the subway to the workplace or to a grocery store. These riders do not own the bikes but rather “rent” them at a low price. It is not super technical. As long as you have a smart phone, you can easily “rent” the bike from your phone.
The innovative part of Mobike is that it owns a hidden GPS System, a freefloating parking way and a burglarproof(防盗的) design lock.
It's said that the users of Mobike do not need to go to a special parking lot to pick up a bike or return it. Whenever riders want to use a bike, they can open the app on their phone and search for the nearest bike. With the GPS system, the app will show the user the right bikes. They can scan(扫描) the QR code(二维码) on the bike. The bike will be unlocked and is free to use. When the trip ends, users can park the bike in any public area along the street.

Sir Isaac Newton was sitting in his garden when he saw an apple fall from a tree. He began to think and tried to find out why the apple fell. Then he discovered how the sun, moon, and stars are kept in their places.
A boy named James Watt sat quietly by the fire, watching the lid of the kettle move up and down. He wanted to find out why the steam in the kettle moved the lid. From that time he went on thinking and thinking. And when he became a man, he improved the steam engine(蒸汽机) so much that it could easily do the work of many horses.
James Ferguson was a poor boy. Once, seeing the inside of a watch, he wondered. “Why should I not make a watch？” But how could he get the materials to make the mainspring(钟表的主发条)? (2013·山东青岛中考)Sometimes the greatest things are invented by mistake. The greatest mistake of all time could be those delicious snacks in your corner drugstore.
One day, a woman was making chocolate cookies. When she ran out of chocolate powder(粉), she took out a chocolate bar and broke it into little pieces. She added the pieces to her cookie dough(面团) and baked(烘烤) it. She thought that the chocolate would (1)melt in the oven and make chocolate cookies. Far from melting, the pieces of chocolate stayed hard. When she took them out of the oven, she had chocolate chip cookies!
Another accidental invention was made by Frank Epperson, an elevenyearold boy. In 1905, Frank sat outside on a winter evening, mixing up a big jug(罐) of powdered soda pop. Frank accidentally left the jug out during the night. When he went outside the next morning, he found the mixture in the jug frozen(冻僵) with the mixing stick stuck in the middle.
